The Spatial is often employed by mining faction, to explore asteroid fields deep inside the borderworlds. While being as large as some freighters, the Spatial sacrifices cargo space in favor of additional equipment options. Dual mine launchers and the ability to power a single Bomber-class torpedo make this craft formidable, yet it's sluggish maneuverability and large size often leave it very vulnerable in combat.
The Spatial is capable of sustained flight beyond a system's heliosphere to an adjacent system, posessing the cold sleep and life support systems to maintain up to five persons for years of sustained travel. The craft is equipped with multiple long burn Ageira engines, any of which are capable of powering the craft independantly.
This ship can be retrofitted with special mining equipment, to glean an additional yield from mineral deposits in space.
Handling
- This ship is too large to use docking bays, it must use mooring points.

Review (4.86)
The Spatial is one of the more difficult ships to mine with. While the Surveyor is tiny and fast, allowing it to easily comb the fields even with only one mining turret, and most other mining ships are able to mount a huge amount of mining turrets to easily mine the fields, the Spatial is a rather large ship which can only fire two turrets forwards. However, it is still able to receive the mining bonus, and with practice you will still mine quickly with only one mining turret on the side of this ship. With this ship, you will have nearly 30,000 hull, a freighter shield, a bomber torpedo, two mine dispensers, and the potential to wield four codenames, two class 9's, and two heavy fighter turrets, all while still being able to mine. If you're working with a group of miners, all flying this ship, it won't be long before pirates stop coming. However, the Spatial is one of the few fighters that actually has to worry about being hit by bomber torpedos. It has a huge plate on the right side, so make sure, if your shield is down, never expose that side to a bomber. Now, there are some who have absolutely no interest in using this as a mining ship. For those people, you can have 6 guns and 3 turrets, two of which fire forwards. You will be effective against fighters, bombers, gunboats, transports, and destroyers. Not alone, of course; gunboats and destroyers will be very difficult to take on alone. As a Civilian ship, just about anyone can use this for whatever purposes they may please.Error creating thumbnail: Unable to save thumbnail to destination Review by TLI-Inferno |
