Note: The Omicron-80 system is known as "Berne" to the Kingdom of Gallia and its residents; they charted and named the system before making contact with Sirius.

Omicron-80 System

The Omicron-80 system was a quiet system on the edge of known space, with nothing of interest save an outpost of the Outcasts. However, in 817 A.S., a series of explosions in what was previously believed to be an abandoned minefield revealed that this quiet, lonely system was also one of the two ways into the Kingdom of Gallia. Since then, activity has slowly begun to pick up, with smugglers and raiding parties crossing through the recently-opened passage in the mines.

Areas of Interest

Ligurian Dust Field

A light dust field that encases the entirety of Omicron-80, the Ligurian Dust Field contains nothing of interest save for a few uninhabited planets and an old minefield.

Omicron-80 Minefield

This minefield was constructed by the Gallic Royal Navy to hide the Jump Hole into Lorraine, and thus keep the local Outcasts from discovering Gallia. Since the field was breached, the Outcasts have on occasion sent raiding parties into Lorraine, much to the ire of the locals; however, the passageway still remains by far the quieter of the two.

Notable Events

In 817 A.S. (733 A.G.S.), teams of Council workers secretly cleared a small, winding path through the minefields in Lorraine and Omicron-80. Several scouting parties of Council fighters were shot down by the resident Outcasts shortly after the way was cleared, and the passage still remains relatively quiet.
