Developed by the Liberty Rogue engineers at Buffalo, the Rogue Gunboat is known as a clumsy and roughly constructed ship. However, in skillful hands this inexpensive gunboat can become a devastating weapon due to its formidable armor and advanced power array. Liberty Rogues are not only using the gunboat for their own purposes in the Liberty systems and the Independent Systems; many ships of this class are sold to Mollys of Dublin to aid their endless struggle against the Corsairs.
Handling
- This ship is too large to use docking bays, it must use mooring points.

The very basic power core, hull and number of mountable turrets don't speak up in favor of this ship. Its ideally used with low-energy consumption weapons such as Solaris, Gunboat defense turrets & missile turrets. This ship is not very suitable against other gunboat vessels, let alone greater capital ships. It's primarily designed to destroy fighter and bomber classed vessels. No significant weak spots and high agility make this gunboat ideal for dodging hostile fire and can prove exceptional at hit-and-run tactics such as raiding and piracy. My experience with this ship is different than Balthazzar's. In my opinion, this ship is capable of obliterating most (not all) navy gunboats with ease (if you are not a complete newbie with gunboats, above average experience with gunboats is needed for this), not only gunboats, but LABC's too, however it will take some time (I took a navy as example because you will be going up against them most of the time if not all, and I know about the LABC's because I have done so). I would recommend getting some low power usage weapons (basics or rogue ones). Your best shoot in fights is to use up that agility that this gunboat possesses, and use strafe when you're going up against the target. If you are getting razor/pulse combination, don't rely on firepower, this ship lacks it. Overall, agility is your best friend with this ship.Error creating thumbnail: Unable to save thumbnail to destination Review by Crusader |
