Bretonian Privateers have evolved into an more or less organised and powerful pirate faction operating in Bretonia and Tau space and surrounding Independent Worlds and Gallic worlds. They were created by the Bretonian government as Freelancers that should harm the Kusaris in the first Tau War. Since the Gallic invastion they have chanced their main goal from Kusari to (royal) Gallia. Their forward base "Providence Station", was built by part they captured from Gallic transporters in the Taus or occupide systems. The Privateers are operating with the Anti Gallic Royal Alliance, but are not part of it. They are privateers and no military army; so they prefer to work on their own or with little help from the BAF or Maltesian Navy. These royal privateers are not allow to act in piracy inside Bretonia or against the trader of Bretonian cooperations like BMM.
