Omicron Alpha System

Omicron Alpha is the home system of the Outcasts, a criminal organization known for trafficking the drug Cardamine. Not much is known, but this system, notably, contains the heavily damaged remains of the sleeper ship Hispania. The system has an unknown jumphole in a large nebula called Siniestre cloud. Siniestre is being rumored to be used as burial grounds for Outcasts and their ships with their most valuable cargo and it can be indicated from the wrecks surrounding the unknown jumphole, some of them containing valuable and rare weapons.

Areas of Interest

Siniestre Nebula

Siniestre nebula

The green veils of Siniestre Nebula are being rumored to be used as burial grounds for Outcasts and their ships with their most valuable cargo and it can be indicated from the wrecks that some of them contain valuable and rare weapons. In the center of the burial ground lies an unknown jumphole which leads deep into Nomad systems. The entire nebula is radioactive and extended periods of stay are not recommended.

The Hispania

The Hispania

The Hispania was one of the five sleeper ships sent by the Alliance. She was badly damaged by Coalition saboteurs before she reached her destination and around half of its occupants used escape pods to abandon the ship near the Omicron Gamma system, later becoming the Corsairs when they settled on Planet Crete. The other half remained and drifted with the ship, founding a separate colony on Planet Malta in the Omicron Alpha system, later becoming the Outcasts.

Today, the wreck of the Hispania still drifts in orbit around Planet Malta.

Planet Carinea

Planet Carinea

An oddity in the annals of human exploration. While initial surveys indicate seemingly idyllic world of thick forests and low fogs, the first expeditions to made planetfall quickly learned that an essential component of the planetary ecology was a fast-acting organic poison fatal to human beings. Every plant and animal examined on the planet contained this poison to one degree or another and any plans for settlement were quickly abandoned. Carinea is located deep within the Siniestre nebula.

Mahon Dust Cloud

A medium-sized field of fine particulate matter.
