Battleship Thebes was an experimental capital ship built by the [[Order]]. This revolutionary vessel put into practise several studies of [[Nomad]] technology, including the Nomad energy distribution and [[Nomad Power Cell|power cells]]. These modifications allowed the Order to power a ship several times the size of the [[Osiris]]. In 816 A.S., [[Nomad]] activity in the [[Omicrons]] rose significantly, especially in [[Omicron Minor]]. [[Order]] analysts suspected a major attack was inbound, not unlike the attack that almost destroyed their base at the end of the [[Nomad War]]. Desperate, the [[Order]] even reached out to their human enemies, the [[LSF]] and the [[Core]]. While both groups sent ships, the battle was already decided before it began.
