DSCore: Touketsu

The Renzu Corporation, a humble business concern that has survived the centuries amongst giants of industry, recently attracted a number of talented young shipwrights by promises of making a fresh expression of their talents outside the well worn channels of Kusarian business practice. Through a limited partnership and considerable speculative investment on the part of Interspace Commerce, these unique vessels have begun to creep into the open, and grey, markets of Sirius.

A high end up market vessel that cuts no corners for power and agility, the Touketsu is perfectly suited to handle any combat situation that it might find itself in. While not suited for deep space, complex life support systems being stripped away to enhance its overall performance, this vessel has been bred for life amongst the Lanes.

Outdated Review (4.85)

Review (4.85) The Touketsu is a surprisingly powerful vessel, definitely on par with the ever popular Eagle. Though ugly as sin itself, its rectangular profile provides it with a small frame, and the same agility as an eagle lets it exploit that. 3 Guns and 2 forward firing turrets certainly dosent seem like a large amount of firepower, and on some counts you would be correct. However, by arming the gun slots with Codename weaponry, you can easily offset this disadvantage, and the large powercore will certainly help in your laser spraying. Outdated Review (4.86)

Review (4.86) This is a good ship. Good power core, easy to handle and to me, it looks good. In comparison to the eagle however, things get interesting. It may lack one gun, but for me it doesn't matter, because it has a larger power core and less guns, so you can shoot for a HUGE amount of time considering you have 2 class 2 turrets (the best turrets a fighter can hold in 4.86), and 3 class 10 guns. My personal set up would be all Purple Goddess Chain Guns. Handling-wise, it SMASHES the ever so popular eagle for me. And it definitely beats the eagle in looks. The eagle just looks a little wired, especially when you are flying it. In the armor department, there is nothing in it. 100 hit points (which on a light fighter, is huge).It is really whatever you want, they both are both very good ships, however, the Touketsu is just mind-blowing. Recently being changed from fighter to a Light bomber, Touketsu is subpar to its rival, Roc. While having very good agility, it's not as good as Roc's, and having terrible guns and Snac placement doesn't help him either. Armor is average, and ship size is okay. Unfortunately, there's absolutely no reason to get this ship over a Roc, or even a Havoc/Cutlass.
