Synopsis

The Slomon K'Hara are a sapient, blue skinned, pleisiosaurine extraterrestrial race created as a genetic experiment by the Daam K'Vosh Empire. Within Sirius, they are known to all save themselves as the Nomads.

The Slomon K'Hara date their civilization back at least thousands of years, and developed independently after their masters disappeared. While it is possible that other parts of the Daam K'Vosh Empire contain members of the Slomon K'Hara species, their current and only known habitat is that of the Sirius Sector.

They possess little inherent genetic code, thus allowing easier symbiotic fusion with races such as humans without the problems of a differing genetic pattern. This is commonly referred to as possession or infestation, as the Slomon K'Hara controls the body of the host, typically with little mental or physical independence on the part of the host.

Physiology

Although many attempts to decypher the K'Hara's biological puzzle by Liberty and Order scientists have been made. Little information has been recovered on their genetic, tisual and organic structure. Numerous rough and quickened analysis' have uncovered an extensive nervous system with nervous electrical impulses measuring at ten times the electrical charge of a human's. Further investigation has shown the nervous system of this species to be the more dominant system over the muscular tissue and a sophisticated respiratory system, comprised of a gas exchange surface capable of oxidising various oxide compounds. Their genetic engineering by the Daam K'vosh is in the fashion of a DNA helix similar to that of all living species recorded by humans. In exchange of a double helix strand, they have an unusual quintuple helix structure consistant of five strands, each comprised of a silver/phosphate backbone in exchange of the sugar/phosphate combination. Instead of the DNA strands coiling into chromosomes, each of the strands stretches meters throughout their nervous system delivering genetical information to billions of cells at once. This combined with the partial silver content of their genetic material makes the strands perfect for conducting intercellular nervous impulses around the body; 50 times faster than a human. The K'Hara have not yet been discovered to have any other cell type outside of their extensive nervous network. Instead their bodily structure consists 68% of muscular tissue believed to consist of mainly carbon, silicon and phospherous compounds. However, an analysis of their complete anatomic comprisal is yet to be completed.

A method of autopsy is yet to be devised by scientists and researchers sirius-wide as the K'Hara's protective reaction to exposure causes their matter to decompose within minutes. Order and Libertonian officials are still pumping funding into K'Hara research, and many questions that linger over the Nomad anatomy are still waiting to be answered.

Culture

Large Nomad construction. Purpose unknown.

Little is known about the Slomon K'Hara, except that they inhabit organic ships, ancient stations and cities. Latest research studies also suggest that their society is highly collectively oriented, with larger, more sophisticated subspecies controlling the lower ones. While it is theoretically possible for a Slomon K'Hara to lose it's connection to the collective, this is a very rare occurrence.

Technology

The Slomon K'Hara possess incredibly advanced technology, including at least one example of utilization of a Dyson Sphere, a device to gather and use the power output of a star, and the ability to destroy stars using a massive ship with unknown, possibly projectile mechanisms for manipulating stellar fusion.

Controlled and contested Space

While not many of their systems are known to the Human race, a small number of star systems containing a significant Nomad presence have been charted (and in a few instances, fully explored): Omicron Delta, Omicron Iota (which is rumored to be the Nomad capitol system), Omicron Kappa, Omicron Lost, Omicron Major, Omicron Minor, Omicron-90, Omicron-92, Omicron-99 and Omicron-100.

Known Bases

Exact designations of Slomon K'Hara installations throughout Sirius are unknown, but recent Order reconnaissance operations revealed multiple seemingly inhabited bases in Omicron Iota as well as the surrounding star systems.
