Synopsis

HiTech Research is a private company specialized in research and development of parts for Trade Lane and Jump Gate Network, which completely revolutionised travel throughout the Sirius sectors, when was implemented by one of the "Big Three" Liberty's corporations, Ageira Technologies. Also, this company is involved in the manufacturing of the XB-2 civilian bombers and new medium sized arms, being focused to gain the trust on the market for its products.

History

HiTech Research was founded by Richard Wilson in 819 A.S. as a private subsidiary of Ageira Technologies, with the main goal to research and develop parts for Trade Lane and Jump Gate Network, successfully implemented with hundreds years ago by this big corporation in all Sirius sectors, but also to improve manufacturing of the XB-2 bombers and development of new medium-sized arms.

In accordance with the chronological records of its history, Ageira Technologies was created in 44 A.S. initially under the name of Valhalla Research, with backing from the Liberty government, in order to obtain a breakthrough in materials research that allows the miniaturization of the same drive technology that was used to power the great sleeper ships, concomitant with the increasing of their power and efficiency.

Seven years later, was formed from several construction companies located on Planet Manhattan, a new Liberty corporation, known as Deep Space Engineering. Over time, collaboration between these two companies has resulted in a evolution without precedent of modern technology, some of their projects being in progress, even today.

In 96 A.S., when LCC Einstein arrived in Rheinland, was finally made possible the first real-time communication, for a technology swap between Liberty and another Alliance colony, through a series of Faster Than Light relay buoys. Shortly thereafter, in 106 A.S., were initiated other business relationships, over the new communications link and Liberty's improved engine systems are exchanged for Bretonian advances in materials technology.

In 120 A.S., Ageira Technologies introduces their newest technological wonder, incorporating recently discovered superstrong crystalline polymers and frictionless bearings and licenses the other houses. When are connected to orbital docking rings, these materials can be used to create "elevators" that almost completely negate the cost of boosting men or materials out of a planetary gravity well. Ten years later, first prototype Jump Gate is tested successfully in Texas and in 180 A.S. is conducted the first test of a full scale jump gate between Texas and Alaska.
