The Shounan-Tou is a Battlecruiser that was constructed by the Kusari Republic during early days of the Kusari Civil War, and upon completion it was assigned to reinforce Battleship Sado's fleet in Tohoku. Intended to aid in defensive efforts against Blood Dragon and Wild forces in the region, this Komainu suffered an awful twist of fate before it could reach Sado. Unfortunately for both the Republic and the ship's crew, the vessel had been interepted and boarded by the Wild en route, and despite extensive searching by patrol wings from the Sado, it was never located.

Suspected of vanishing deep into the Crow Nebula, it instead cropped up again in the Taus, where it suits the logistical interests of the Wild in this area. Patrols spotted from it have taken an apparent interest in both the Gallic invaders who were recently pushed out of the system, as well as the revolutionary forces who have helped to reclaim it.
