Pamiers is one of the few battleships of the Council that survived the Languedoc campaign. It was captured in Burgundy back in 810 AGS while it was patrolling Nievre asteroid field. In a daring move, multiple fighters and bombers of the Council surrounded the ship and disabled most of its point defense systems. Marines boarded the ship, and with the help of certain loyal officers of the Navy, overtook the ship in less than an hour. The ship was later hidden in Nievre, out of reach of Gallic capital ships. It was transferred to Dauphine, where it stayed in far outer reaches of the system outside the range of Gallic radars, leading a group of several smaller capital ships. Later, the battlegroup of Pamiers participated in the Languedoc offensive. The battleship was one of the few that did not suffer serious damage in numerous battles with the Navy. The Council chose to attempt to move it through the mine field passage, despite the risks.
Being one of the three battleships that went all the way to Roussillon, Pamiers is the flagship of the Council defensive forces for the system. The battleship is currently stationed not far from the Tau-29 jump hole surrounded by an extensive mine field. This jump hole is considered to be the likely point from where Gallic forces could enter the system, and fighter patrols from Pamiers are constantly keeping watch on the jump hole from both Roussillon and Tau-29 sides.
