HOLMIUM

Holmium is a sofy, silvery-white metal that has the highest magnetic strength if any element. Since it strongly absorbs neutrons, it is also ised in nuclear control rods. It can be combined with Ytrrium to form hightly magnetic compounds, and combined with Ytrrium and Lanthanum and other elements for use in solid-state lasers.
