The veteran Crayter strike force seemed to be scoring a decisive victory over the Oblique Royalists, until it became apparent that the defenders were engaging them only in a fighting withdraw. With Tau-44 largely secured, Carrier Hades was redeployed to an advanced position inside Omicron Tau, where it was well positioned for strikes against both the Gauls and the Outcasts until the Carrier Helios was destroyed in 825 A.S. .
