Livadia Shipyard is a partially-independent Zoner base founded in 810 A.S. when a schism amongst Freeport 9's population forced a large number of inhabitants into exile. Somehow, they found themselves in the wholly alien Omicron Kappa, where they found a niche in providing their superior engineering abilities to benefit daring Freelancers picking at the distant Nomad Worlds riches.

The population works tirelessly to fulfill a number of basic needs in the region. While Livadians do not commonly sell their ships to non-Zoners, they often trade for desperately-needed construction supplies needed to perpetuate their cloistered existence in the Peloponnese.

Livadia's existence has long been controversial among the nearby Corsair population who objected to having a facility capable of constructing warships in such close proximity to their borders. Yet so far, they have mostly decided to treat the shipyard as a lesser evil, in the face of ever-increasing Nomad activity deeper within the Omicrons and the growing presence of Gammu AI from within the system. Corsairs commonly visit the station since having lost control of their stronghold at Yaren Base, and are subject to preferential deals and prices among the finely-crafted works of engineering here.
