The space life seemed to attract Steve from the very beginning, an interest fed even more once his father told him about his brief service in the Bretonian Armed Forces. Steve, to Sebastian Rodriguez

Steve Holloway is a bounty hunter currently working under the banner of the Mandalorian Mercenaries, holding the title of Consul and handling the company's internal issues in the Mandalore's absence.

While he began as a freelancer seeking his own contracts inside the House of Bretonia and its bordering systems, his passionate romance with Zoey Sakura and new job opportunities made him choose to fly for the Reaver Mercenary Company under the codename 'Sapphire', eventually jumping between them and the Mandalorian memberships for a short period of time until he decided to settle down with the latter. For now.

Liam Holloway, to his son

Steve was born as the only son of Liam and Catherine Holloway, BMM workers assigned to Stokes Mining Station by the time her mother fell pregnant, who could only find Planet Leeds as the only place they could afford to raise his child. Growing up in the poisonous industrial environment of Planet Leeds, Steve quickly became acclimatized to the harsh life-style of the working class in Leeds which roughly included the 98% of the planet's population. Children usually skipped classes to play in the street or head to the nearest spaceport to admire the huge spaceships landing and departing. His teenhood mostly comprised fights between street gangs that made him return home with more than one hematoma, making her mother upset to the point that his father began taking Steve with him to the freighter trips between the planet's surface and Stokes station moving the raw ore mined from the asteroid field nearby.

The space life seemed to attract Steve from the very beginning, an interest fed even more once his father told him about his brief service in the Bretonian Armed Forces. Although Steve always suspected about how a Bretonian officer could've ended his career so fast to the point he would become a miner, Liam never told his son the reality behind his early retirement and the fate that made him become yet another unknown miner. The lifespan of most of workers in Leeds' was barely above 50 with no little exceptions on younger people, which was the case of Liam Holloway. Horrified by this tragic event, Steve put all his effort on gathering enough money so both him and his mother could eject from the hellhole of Leeds and escape from the claws of a slow death due to the severe contamination. At the age of 17 and with the help of some Liam's colleagues, Steve began working for BMM as part of the crew of an asteroid miner in Dublin system. The cash income was obviously low compared to mother's, who eventually convinced him to follow his father's step and enroll for education at the Leeds Military Academy. His stay at the academy didn't last as long as Catherine would have expected, believing that his son's behaviour was naturally alligned with anything but discipline. The only thing Steve ever commented about his stay at the academy was his single flight test in a Crusader Heavy Fighter.

`Phase I´ member nicknamed 'Mike', to Steve

Not so much time after he left the academy on his own, he began his freelancer career putting in practice everything he had learnt back then about space flight. While he was polishing his flying skills around Bretonian space, the active black market in Trafalgar Base gave Steve the chance to earn credit chips in a swift way, coming across a small group of associates known as Phase I who were fully dedicated at smuggling Blood Diamonds and Human Organs from the Freeports in Magellan and Omega 3 inside the Bretonian borders using Clydesdale transports. The steady income was cut (just as the contact with his mother and the promised money) after long six years as one of the associates was caught by the lawful authorities, and as per agreement, the smuggling network would be disbanded to avoid the remaining members being tracked down. Steve fled from Freeport 1 in an Eagle ship to Dublin which was scrapped shortly after during a brawl against a Corsair.

After the last hit, Steve adquired a Sabre snubcraft and moved to the Battleship Hood, where his roguish attitude found its heaven in the shape of alcohol and women, adding Mollys, independent miners and racers to the local enviroment. It was right outside the Hood where he ended up meeting the Kusari freelancer Shizuma Sakuragi.
