Seeing their aging Bloodhounds easily swatted aside by advanced police ships only amused the pirate bosses for so long. Eventually they tired of the embarrassment, and put their most sober minds to work upgrading the ship. This proved a difficult task, as originally they attempted to shoehorn it into an interceptor role, but the ship's bulk made that a futile endeavour. Eventually, they found success in the classic pirate style - a bigger generator to power bigger guns and bigger shields. The frame was also stable enough to include a dedicated torpedo mount for extra punch. Though some naysayers decried the radical changes, the new Hyena is becoming a more common sight amongst raiding parties.

Review (4.86) There are not many ships, which aren't flown in the game. Hyena, sadly, is one of them. Being a rather large light fighter, it comes to be a little bit underpovered in Liberty, where you will find, that most HF's are smaller than this ship. However, a powerplant, which can sustain a mini razor as well as three class 9 gunslots and a class 1 turret slot would make this light fighter an ideal one to take out bombers.
