-------------------------------------------------------

Guten Tag Piloten,

I spent almost the whole day in space today, with early morning discounted. As usual, the Rheinwehr had a lot of issues to deal with, all were successful of course.

Beating off a smaller Liberty incursion

I began my patrol in the Hamburg system, intentionally with supervising the trade embargo. Everything was remarkably quiet until I spotted a Junker vessel moving goods to Liberty. Refusing to halt, the Pirate train took the lane to the Bering jump gate. I pursued the ship, but I have abandoned the lane as soon as I saw two additional hostile contacts approaching. The two enemy ships were clearly of Libertonian origin, registered as Bold-as-Brass an Avenger-class fighter and Sokol, a Guardian-class. The ships were most obviously scouts sent in by the Liberty Navy, they were not too talkative, taking into account that they never responded when I told them to get out of Hamburg. Instead, the two enemy vessels charged their guns and attacked me, I was forced to defend myself. Bold-as-Brass was a rather easy target, it bit one of my mines in about a minute after the first shots were fired, since his ship was already damaged, he blew into pieces. Sokol, the Guardian was a little bit tougher. He survived for about three-four minutes, he even managed to scratch my hull. Of course, he was soon a victim of a well-placed nuke aswell, not to ignore the fact that his ship was already damaged to a point of no repair when that happened. I landed my ship on Altona to do some repairs, it was finished rather quickly.

Embargo supervision

As soon as the Libertonians were taken out, I took up a position near Hamburg to supervise shipping and the embargo. I've arranged a team of specialists to be transferred to Altona in order to check the validity of incoming cargo and to neutralise any potential threat the incoming traffic would mean. Feldwebel Wenzel Kreuzchen and Albrecht von Schmitz joined me on my duties. I'm uploading a log of the passing ships I've scanned.

Space Express:

Ship designation: SpaceExpress
Ship class: K7:P-19T "Akegata" Kusari Container Transport
IFF transmitter alignment: Civilian
Registration code: Independent trader
Cargo: Super Alloy (4200 units.)
Shipment origin: Scarborough Station, Newcastle
Shipment destination: Planet Nuremberg, Munich
Military action taken: Permission to enter Rheinland granted.

Notes: I couldn't confirm the origin of the shipment, the crew of specialists was not yet on the spot. I gave the ship clearence to proceed into Rheinland. -Lt. Alec Voelkel

Dronin:

Ship designation: Dronin
Ship class: Pirate Train
IFF transmitter alignment: Junker
Registration code: Junker
Cargo: Engine components (4300 units.)
Shipment origin: Oder Shipyard, New Berlin
Shipment destination: Freeport-4, Magellan
Military action taken: Permission to leave Rheinland denied.

Notes: The Junker vessel was rather disappointed when it had to face the embargo, especially since his shipment was heading to a neutral location. Since I couldn't supervise that and I was under strict orders not to let anyone pass torwards Liberty, I refused granting him passage. The vessel turned around, I lost track of it after its arrival to Alster. -Lt. Alec Voelkel

Freighter 42:

Ship designation: [CRI]Freighter.42
Ship class: T-382-T "Kamome" GMG Transport
IFF transmitter alignment: Civilian
Registration code: Cryer Pharmaceuticals
Cargo: Synthetic Marijuana (2800 units.)
Shipment origin: Unknown
Shipment destination: Unknown, presumably Bethlehem Station, Pennsylvania
Military action taken: Permission to leave Rheinland granted.

Notes: Excuse me for the personal remark, but it was a real dishonor for me to let the ship pass. Marijuana is just like Cardamine, it will surely end up in the wrong hands, even if a legit transport is carrying it. -Lt. Alec Voelkel

Gasolero:

Ship designation: [FL]Gasolero
Ship class: "Titanic" Civilian Heavy Tanker
IFF transmitter alignment: Republican Shipping
Registration code: Interspace Commerce
Cargo: Tourists (2397 individuals.)
Shipment origin: Planet Erie, Pennsylvania
Shipment destination: Augsburg Orbital Colony, Munich
Military action taken: Entry to Rheinland granted.

Notes: The IFF transmitter of the ship was messed up. The captain claimed that it was because his vessel was recently transferred to IC from Republican Shipping. I granted him entry to Rheinland territory after a brief chat.-Lt. Alec Voelkel

Gama I:

Ship designation: Gama-I
Ship class: EL-HiL51 "Mammoth" Liberty Transport
IFF transmitter alignment: Civilian
Registration code: Independent trader

Shipment origin: Planet Manhattan, New York
Shipment destination: Planet Baden Baden, Stuttgart
Military action taken: Cargo inspected, entry to Rheinland granted.

Notes: The ship's captain claimed to have forgotten where his cargo was from. The Altona inspection determined that it was from Manhattan, however it was not tampered, so I granted the ship entry to Rheinland. -Lt. Alec Voelkel

Corsair cleanup in Omega-7

Since the Hamburg checkpoint went silent, I ordered the pilots present (Flieger Shubert Shetland and Albrecht Von Schmidtz) to begin a patrol of the Vaterland. First off, the pilots have checked Dresden since the Altenburg reported readings of several unknown ships, all seemed to be Daumann miners of different sorts. In the meantime, I patrolled Stuttgart, where a mining vessel, the Volterra reported sightings of Corsair ships looting miners around the system. We couldn't let that happen, of course. I ordered my wingmen to proceed to the assembly point located near Freiburg Station, from where we went immediately to Omega-7 to deal with the Corsair terrorists.

We met our targets near Freiburg. The unusually poorly equipped Corsair ships were nagging an IMG cruiser, the Vector supervising the integrity of the area. The terrorists backed off as soon as our fighter wing arrived, one of them even cloaked out. As usual, I didn't treat the Corsairs with my gloves on, I straight out told them to get back to their holes or they would be destroyed. They said they were considering my "offer", in the meantime I ran scans on their vessels. I identified the ships as Missilun and LOST-Rico_Rodriguez, the ship that cloaked out was Diablo Benitez. I also called Obergefreiter Otto Weddigen in to assist, since we were hinted about corsair reinforcements, even a gunboat incoming.

We had to act quick before the enemy heavy support arrived, I ordered Flieger Schubert and Herr Schmidtz to engage the enemy targets. Missilun, a Titan-class fighter was shot down quickly, despite the fact that the ship was relatively well-armored, it was out of regeneration tools. Shortly before the vessel's destruction, the corsairs have pulled in an Imperator, designated as KARLEONE to provide support. It engaged us and we were forced to retaliate, I ordered Obergefreiter Weddigen too to open fire. The gunboat managed to bring some damage to Flieger Shetland's ship, who managed to evade long enough for us to take the Imperator down. Rico Rodriguez was left alone, I ordered Shetland to pull out because of the damage he suffered while Weddigen and Schmidtz handled the last Titan.

As soon as the area was clear, I asked the captain of the Vector, the IMG cruiser that was present to give us landing permission on Freistadt in order to conduct repairs of our vessels. I was not particularly damaged, but I had to give command to Feldwebel Kreuzchen, who arrived on spot at the end of the fight.

Admiral Malte was waiting for Voelkel to land his wrath after the early morning patrol.
The landing area of the New Berlin military base was covered with snow - as always - and only the weather was showing some mercy at all. The snowfall had stopped. Possibly giving New Berlin just a few minutes to catch a breath.

"Leutnant Voelkel!" [color=#33FF33]The admiral had his attention.

"Outstanding work in the field mein Herr, you are one of the best examples for all pilots in the Kanzlers fleet.
I also want to speak in high terms of your reports Leutnant.
Always a pleasure to be informed in such an elegant and well organized way.
Keep up your great work and the Military may have more for you to offer, than just the beginning of the Flagofficers career.
Dismisssed. And get some coffee, you look terrible."

The Admiral smiled when leaving the landing area into the direction of the cafeteria.
Voelkel saluted once the Admiral turned around.
Admiral Malte disappeared in the slowly starting snowstorm.
Berlin's icy touch was geting a grip on the planet again.
Pilot Logging Report: Hermann Voss

Rank: Feldwebel

Assignment: Hamburg System

Duty: Patrol/Checkpoint Duty

This is the report of Hermann Voss, Feldwebel, Rheinland Military, after i finally finished what seemed to be a mountian of paperwork i dragged myself to the Hanger bays and got into my Wraith and into space, on another note remind the Techs in the hangers that dust is NOT supposed to be inside my ship due to the dangers of it getting into the electronics and causing havok on the subsystems.

My first action was to report for Duty, after aquiring Comm Access i started a patrol around the Planet Hamburg's Outter Grid when i spotted a Mandalorian Mercenary Gunboat, after i called for aid we escorted him out with little fuss, harsh words exchanged between the Leuteant and the Mandalorian along the way. After that i returned to Hamburg and went to the hanger my Bomber was kept in, i was mildly annoyed when i found out from a mechanic that my former armaments could not be used anylonger due to changes in the power-grid, so i was onroute to Braunschweig to rearm with the appropriate weapons when i spotted a unknown contact, quickly i intercepted and caught him, only to find to my horror that he was hauling Slaves within his hold, after i called in backup and the aid of a RepEX vessel, who should be applauded for his aid, we rescued all the slaves and stored their pods aboard the RepEX Ship, administered a fine of One Million Credits to the offender before we sent him on his way with a warning.

After i continued to my original course and transferred Prototype Weapons "IRON HAMMER" to the Armoury and called it a day.

Subject: Patrol Report #29, 26.12.817

-------------------------------------------------------

Guten Tag Piloten,

Busy day, mostly uneventful, but a lot of civilians ran over our scanners. I'll also note that Rheinland is being literally swarmed with Tridente-class Outcast gunships lately. We met about the 10th in the past three days.

Outcast gunships attacking Hamburg

I began my patrol early this afternoon. Our Kampfgruppe has just finished off a Tridente gunship when I hopped into my Wraith. From Luebeck border station, I moved to Planet Hamburg. Near Altona, I spotted another two Tridentes, designated as Grave Digger and Pitbull moving torwards the Planet. I ordered them to disengage their engines, but since neither of them responded, I shot cruise disruptors at them. As soon as my third cruise disruptor hit them, the vessel Grave Digger opened fire at my Wraith. Of course, the other one immediately came back and also opened fire, I quickly found myself alone against the two Outcast gunships. Most forunately, the returning Rheinwehr group arrived to assist, as soon as the Outcasts noticed the incoming allied backup, they left off torwards Bering.

They passed the Hamburg blockade and left to Bering, but we were ordered to pursue them. We eventually caught up with the two ships near Freeport 2, they both opened fire at our group without a warning. The battle that followed was fierce and was not entirely in our favour. We lost three ships until we took one of them down, Admiral Malte, Major Westerman and Flieger Stiglitz had to be taken to hospital. I'd personally remark that our biggest disadvantage was that we arrived in waves, since we had to take quick action. Eventually, only me and Vizeadmiral Von Speer was left standing, until reserve pilot Albrecht Von Schmitz arrived and the three of us took out the already heavily damaged Grave Digger. Pitbull, the other gunboat docked with the Freeport.

The situation was not yet clear, while the battle lasted, the Infinity, an LSF bomber arrived. Herr Von Speer tried to tell the Libertonian to leave off, while the Heimkehr, our repair ship arrived to treat our damage. Following a heated debate, the Libertonian left off. We went back to Hamburg, the Heimkehr collected the escape pods and offloaded them at the Westfalen.

I began embargo supervision duties, will attach the scanner log later on.

Incursion of two Libertonian spies

A weird situation I had to encounter today. Two Libertonian Executioner-class Heavy fighters under a civilian registration code entered Hamburg in order to pass further into Rheinland. The ships designated as Neandor and Lance White never stated the reason for their presence. At first, I thought it was another two-men Liberty attack, but soon they stated they did not want to fight. At first, I wanted to throw them out, but the Stosswelle, a reserve ship noted the mixture of Rheinwehr, Libertonian and Unioner weapons they had equipped. I ordered them to relinquish their weapons. They got as far as unmounting them, but never gave them to us. The pilots were acting in a most strange way. They admitted having bribed the Quartermaster of the Westfalen storage to get the weapons, but they never seemed to understand that there was a war between Rheinland and Liberty and that they were not allowed to use such a ship setup.

Eventually, they started saying totally outrageous things. They kept disrespecting my authority and demanded to speak to my superiors. I warned them that I was way too diplomatic and that they were better off with me being present. They kept pushing it.

Major General Rall arrived.

Ten minutes later, their weapons, including a Mark V Vengeance-class Liberty cannon were resting on the Moselle again.

Zoner capital ships in Rheinland space

Two Zoner capital ships were granted admission to Rheinland today. Both failed to ask for entry permission in advance, but they were eventually granted permission to pass through Rheinland under Military escort.

The first one, a Jinkusu-class Zoner Juggernaut designated as Cassiopeia was quite a terrifying sight to encounter. The massive left off the lane from Bering unannounced, the checkpoint was not prepared for its arrival. We immediately halted him, the crew complied. I explained the situation to them that admittance was only possible with the Admirality's permission, luckily Admiral Malte was available. Me and reserve pilot Stosswelle escorted the Junkusu through Rheinland, neglecting the usage of trade lanes and not going even remotely close to populated areas despite the jump gates. Another tridente (the fourth today) tried stopping us, but it quickly realised his chances were dwarfed by the Zoner Juggernaut. Eventually, the Cassiopeia reached the Sigma-13 Jump Gate and left off, thanking us for our escort.

The second one to enter was a Corvo Exploration Cruiser, designated as Marco Cabulb, claiming to be only loosely affiliated with the Zoners and otherwise operating as an independent explorer. Major General Rall authroised the ship's entry, we had to keep a 10 clicks distance from any inhabited planets while we escorted the ship to the Sigmas aswell.

I informed the High Command, Admiral Malte personally of the increasing presence of both the Zoner capital ships and the swarm of heavily armed and armored Tridentes that repeatedly try to sabotage Rheinwehr operations.

Embargo supervision

During my duties, I returned three times to supervise the trade embargo at the Hamburg checkpoint. He's a detailed scanner log on the ships I've scanned, with detailed notes and the action taken.

I caught them about 10 clicks off the planet. I have no idea what the Neo-Terran Front is, they claimed to be another group of revolutionaries fighting to get to another galaxy or something. They said they had an agreement with Rheinland that they can get their fuel through Rheinland. Since they could name whom they made the agreement with (that being Admiral Malte), I didn't question them any further. They disappeared as suddenly as they showed up.-Lt. Alec Voelkel

Patrol report #23 26.12.817 A.S.
Leutnant Wolfgang Haynsworth.

Patrol began at roughly 2PM New Berlin Standard time. I engaged launch sequences, Checked weapons and prepared to leave New Berlin Atmosphere.

I was leaving the Atmosphere behind at roughly three past two. As soon as I was in orbit I detected a distress call from a nearby trader. I throttled engines to cruise and headed to the traders location. after roughly four minutes I arrived at the traders last know location, he was about 400 meters away, looking in a good state. The pirate had left. Accordingly ran. I checked to make sure the trader was okay, and then I continued on my patrol.

I headed towards the Hamburg Jumpgate, using the Tradelane. Upon arrival at the Jumpgate I spotted a hostile contact, I had only time to take note of the Red Hessian markings on his ship before I had to take evasice action as he opened fire without warning. My ship was already severly damaged, the majority of control systems had been hit, and there was pressure fluid leaking all over the place. I knew that this might be the end, I tried to keep out of his line of fire, but he hit me with another few rounds. I had managed to take his shields out when suddenly I heard a loud tearking noise, Another set of alarms started ringing and diagnostics informed me that I had just lost weapons platform 3. Seeing that I was going to go down, I attempted to aim my wrath directly into the path of the Mysterious Red Hessian Vessel, I then proceeded to eject. From my life pod I saw my wrath slip past to port of the hostile vessel, I let out a sigh and winced as I realised I had just lost a 1.7 Million Credit Rheinland Military vessel. RMHC would have my backside.

I proceeded to drift though space until a passing Independent Militia vessel picked me up and offered me a ride to Braunshweig.

Report ends.

Subject: Patrol Report #5, anti-pirate patrol in Omega 7

-------------------------------------------------------

Hail mein Kommandant,

yesterday I took my Wrath and I went to Omega 7 in order to secure it from pirates, in accordance with the guidelines stated in the Omega Trade Pact. During my patrol no pirate showed up. It is possibe the simple presence of your forced had been enough to discourage potential pirate activities.

Nevertheless I have to note on my report few facts that happened during my patrol.

1) I stepped over the LWB criminal Horst Bomberg. I destroied his ship and took his escape capsule to the Rheinland criminal court in New Berlin.
Video Data 1: Bomberg in the aim.

2) I got in contact with the Kruger miner Konstanz. I checked if they were under pirate treath. Apparently they weren't so I decided to move around and patrol the rest of the system
Video Data 2: Chat with Konstanz's crew.

3) During my patrol I also met an indipendent miner. I checked his cargo hold to secure that he was not trying to smuggle or give support to pirates.
Video Data 3: The freelancer miner.

4) Finally, I found a zoner research battelship that was engaging in activities with the IMG base in Omega 7. I scanned cargo and equipment to check if the zoner's crew statements were truthfully spelled. I have not found any evidence of illegal activities but I still suspect something strange was going on, hence I suggest that further investigation on said battleship could be needed.
Video Data 4: Transponder signals of zoner research battleship.
Video Data 5: Chat with zoner battleship.

For the supreme glory of Rheinland,

-------------------------------------------------------

Guten Tag Frau Admiral,

Here is the detailed information I promised about the rogue trader vessel with the scanner and communication log attached. The trade vessel approached the Hamburg checkpoint with a cargo full of superconductors, they were possibly rigged with explosives or were fake ones. I halted the ship and ordered a scan of him, asking for the shipment's origin and destination. The pilot lied he's from New Tokyo, but he later confessed the shipment was from Denver, Colorado. I told him to tell my why he lied to a Flag Officer, but it took him a while to say it was a mistake. Afterwards, I told them that his entry to Rheinland was denied and he had to relinquish his cargo for throughout inspection, but he docked Altona as soon as that (the last part is off the comm logs).

I'm requesting his addition to the list of Rheinland enemies because he seems to travel around the Hamburg checkpoint a lot. I don't want insecure freight captains to manouver goods into the Vaterland.

"Guten Tag.

Longrangeaensores detected a large number of Ships entering the Stuttgart system, and myself and some other pilots got called there. A Bretonian Miningconvoy passed the Planet Stuttgart with a large escort of BAF Ships. Admiral Malexa herself took matters over and handled the situation.

While the BAF vessles were turned back and escorted out of Rheinland, 4 of our Wraths under the command of MG Rall escorted the Mining ships to Planet Nurnberg, where they unloaded and stayed for maintenace.

After rejoining the Patrolwing in Berlin, the rest of the shift was uneventful.

Obergefreiter Otto Weddigen, Planet Hamburg.
