Mein herren,
A LONG day today. i cant even remember how it started. the first thing i remember was flying to battleship Westphalia on a patrol of the Bremen system. once i arrived on station the battleship Westphalia informed me of several enemy signatures in the neighboring New Hampshire system. I docked for a short while to initiate communications with the Rheinland military barracks and to inform them of the situation. After doing so I set out on a scouting mission to determine enemy opposition and with a secondary objective to determine the ship class of LNS-Vangard.
upon entering the New Hampshire system, I passed by the battleship Concord and proceeded to scout the area as I was performing my duties I ran into a patrol of two Navy fighters both with the [ESPADA] tag. I had to beat a hasty retreat in the face of the current opposition as I did not want to engage in a two on one battle.
Once I arrived back in the Bremen system I docked with the Westphalia and quickly checked the barracks comms for any activity. there was response to my alert and soon we had assembled three ships in space. Adm. Malixa Malte in a fafnir bomber, Maj. Alec Voelkel in a heavy assault fighter, and I in a standard assault fighter.
Maj. Voelkel and I proceeded into the New Hampshire system where we encountered a liberty gunboat by the name of [ESPADA]Elegos. after a very confusing and short prelude all ships commenced firing upon one another. The major and I held the upper hand from the beginning of the engagement and once our admiral got there the gunboat's fate was sealed. another libertine Navy officer by the name of McQueen arrived halfway through the engagement and at all times stayed 10 km or more away and cowardly watched his friends die. at the end of the engagement he ran away.
after dealing with the gunboat a long-range sweep of the system showed that our quarry, the LNS-Vanguard had managed to escape our clutches.
After clearing the New Hampshire system our admiral set a new objective for the day, the reconquer of the Texas system.Capt. Frederick Lang, Adm. Malexa malte, and myself moved to infiltrate first Hudson and then Texas. We arrived on station in the Texas system and began to fly a patrol of the debris fields. We found what looked like an abandoned storage depot and made note of it by marking its location on the map and dropping a buoy set the standby mode therefor future activation. Also we came across what looked to be the remains of a jumpgate and investigated it for a moment.
On our way to Houston restarted receiving system wide transmissions originating from a RNC reserve cruiser. it seems the cruiser was confronting its counterpart of the LNS variety and may have been suffering from some of the space madness. With the Navy alerted in our cover blown we decided to make a quick pit stop to check out the nearby prison installation known as sugarland and head back to Hudson. On our way out we started picking up multitudes of liberty Navy comm chatter in Texas and decided to lay in ambush in the Hudson system.
Unfortunately things did not go with plan, our forces became splintered and before we could coalesces strong enough force to ambush together, the libertine Navy showed up with, if you will parden my Gallic, A *-= censorship brought to you by the Rheinland Association for a better tomorrow=-* load of ships. they proceeded to surround our admiral and made moves to capture her.
I shall leave the resulting furball to be deciphered buy the others who fought there with me. I was only able to take one guncam shot, and the participants involved were so numerous I cannot remember their names. notable happenings in the fight are the arrival of two RNC reserve cruises, the arrival of one libertine Navy assault battle cruiser [LN]Plymouth Rock and one liberty assault carrier LNS-Wrath.of.liberty. to the best of my knowledge our capital fleet ran into the [LN] Plymouth Rock while securing the jump gate to Texas. I think one was destroyed, the other's fate is unknown. also the libertine Navy's commanding Adm. David Hale was personally involved in the battle.
as a result of miscommunication and faulty orders, I fled the battle and proceeded to the Texas system in an attempt to move around to bearing and get back to Hamburg. I later learned that these orders I received were miscommunicated and that I had left my comrades for nothing.
As I got back to Hamburg and was sulking over my departure from battle, I took up the hobby of scanning ships inbound from the liberty systems. Several freighters came and went until one named raynor showed up on my scanners. He was a rhino freighter with a hold full of counterfeit software. I demanded that he stop and so he did but only after I disabled the tradelane in front of him. I told him that he was accused of calling counterfeit software and that doing such was illegal in all four colonies.therefore I proposed to levy a fine upon him, however he would have none of that and began docking procedures with the orbiting station. I had no choice but to quickly open fire and prevent him from seeking refuge aboard the station. He was destroyed in his pod tractored in for interrogation as well as the counterfeit software seized and under study on planet hamburg.
after dealing with the smuggler I received an emergency call from a reserve gunboat about the blockade of red Hessians flying under the [RF] tag which had taken control of the new Berlin Jumpgate in Stuttgart. to the best of my knowledge the blockade consisted of three pirate transports and two bombers. we grouped together with a Dauman heavy construction escort vessel and vice Adm. Walter Krupinski. I stationed myself on the new Berlin side of the gate. There was little to no communication between us And the attack started without me. I was idling on the other side of the gate while our men faced down the opposition. By the time I had learned the attack was already on and jumped in all that was left was fleeing Hassan bomber and one Hessian gunboat. the gunboat was destroyed as soon as I arrived on station.
after departing as quickly as I had arrived, I headed for new Berlin. Once I jumped in the system i heard a member of the Volk's Front talking on open comms. I took the tradelane from bonn to brandenburg and ran into him halfway through. it was none other than Daniel Boehmer. After having a lengthy discussion about ideology, corruption, pirating, treachery, our differences, and our similarities it was decided that one of us had to leave the system and neither of us were willing to depart. Therefore we settled our disputes with gunfire.
In the end, the Volk's front won the day, and i was forced to make an emergency landing on the battleship Strasbourg with half a flaming, twisted, heap of metal that one could never have imagined was once an operational fighter.
