While on patrol from Battleship Westfalen to Brandenburg Station I came across a Zoner vessel, callsign OSI-Native. The crew were compliant and courteous with no resistance or aggression towards myself or passers-by. The OSI-Native was carrying a haul of Diamonds from Omega-11 to the Hamburg System. No contraband was found and the OSI-Native was sent on its way.

While on patrol from Planet New Berlin to Battleship Westfalen and just after launch from the surface I came across a Junkers vessel, callsign Albertros. The vessel was ordered to halt and submit to a cargo scan, however the vessel fled. I gave chase from Planet New Berlin to the Frankfurt system. Several more attempts at communication were made with no success. Lost contact with the Albertros in orbit of Planet Holstein.

While on patrol in the New Berlin along the trade lanes I came across a Freelancer Vessel, callsign Minibloodhound. I ordered the vessel to halt and submit to a cargo scan, there was no response. I pursued the vessel to the Frankfurt system where it halted less than 1000 meters from the jump gate. I repeated my orders to cut their engines and submit to a scan, they did so without incident and I offered them escort from Rheinland Space. They declined and went on to Sigma-13.

Achtung! I have discovered a heavy Red Hessian presence in the Stuttgart system. A Large Battlecruiser, callsign Ezekiel came into orbit of Planet Stuttgart while I was returning from patrol. The Westfalen and other assets in orbit opened fire including myself, however, when the vessel began to retreat capital assets in system did not pursue. I attempted to pursue and did to the New Berlin system where the Ezekiel disappeared into the Saarveld. I attempted to raise other capital assets but my hails were ignored, please advise on further action.

While on patrol along the trade lanes in New Berlin, I came across a Junkers vessel, callsign Boozer, just outside the Saarveld near to Brandenburg station. The vessel was holding a fixed position and did not respond to hails at first. I scanned the vessel for contraband and other illicit items when the captain contacted me and made his apologies. They were found to have no illegal items or equipment and they were ordered to behave in Rheinland space. I will be keeping an eye on the increase in Junker activity in our core systems from now on.

I send this message with great sadness and seething anger. I came across a vessel in our zone of influence and ordered them to submit to a cargo scan. They bolted towards the Omega-11 jumphole and I gave pursuit. Nearing the Jumphole I was intercepted by Coalition and Hessian fighters, but I managed a scan of the vessel. It was filled with slaves… I was disgusted and dispatched 3 Hessian vessels before withdrawing. I am deeply disturbed by what I have discovered. Please advise.

Guten Abend Kommandeure,

Eighteen hours ago I was alerted to the possible presence of an illegal base being constructed in the Frankfurt system by an unauthorised group of individuals. Rheinwehr Oberkommando sent me orders to aid in the search for this new illicit base. I set forth from my base of operations on the Westfalen and headed to the Schwerin for supplies and further instructions. I lauched soon after and began my scouting of the Taunusfeld and found nothing but some rag tag terrorists that avoided me. I then moved to the Hausenfeld and came up empty handed once again.

I then searched the open space around the tradelanes leading to the jumpgates out of the system and once again came up empty handed. I am hereby requesting additional assets be deployed to expand the search.

Guten Abend,

Changes, thet are hard to accept, but this one is obviously good for everyone in the grand scheme of things.

A relatively calm Rheinland
What has been achieved has been wonderful, after such a long time, we can finally say - Rheinland is safe, Rheinland is united. To fly with, for a while, mortal enemies, and yet my brothers has been an experience filled with a whirlwind of emotion. We who have stood on the opposing sides of the Federal and Imperial barricade, unified, me, one that commanded in the front line against the very same Kaiserliche Rheinwehr mere months ago within your ranks as lowly but proud Flieger.

The House is now one, the Hessians are defeated and Cologne is ours, which finally marks the end of the period of turbulence. Let us rejoice in this time of rebuilding, brothers being rekindled with long lost brothers, Rheinland...United.

A bonding experience
This almost brings a tear to my eye - for years on end, all my focus was Rheinland, fighting in the civil war, and then cleaning up the Hessian garbage. Never could we have left our posts, never our families could feel safe if we ever left our systems. Now that is different, Rheinland is secured - we can heal old scars of mistrust on missions of bonding and excitement. We have used this freedom and me and Flieger Karsten Riese have indulged in a mission into one of the exoic Omegas.

This untamed lawless resource heavy system seems like a great bonding experience between the rejoined forces, far from the scenery and horrors of the civil war, our heroes can indulge in patrolling where not every shot missed means danger for their own family and house. We have met many a wanderer - from the Coalition proving presence MR.Puto_Putin carrier, The Auxesian warship A/)-ACV-Eidolon.Wraith, until we settled on the a base of someone who we wouldn't expect this far - Core's Grand Vista Orbital

We have explored the system under the lead of Karsten Riese and I must say this joint patrol outside of the setting in Rheinland has felt like a small step for these two officers, but a big step as a representation for the healing between the rekindled sides.

Guten Abend,

On patrol I have proceeded to escort an ALG vessel, ALG-Strassenfeger through the untamed border system, Hudson. It would appear the Liberty forces struggle with security as their "half" of the system was teaming with terrorists - one of the Xeno gunboats, Red.Snake seemed to be waiting for an opportunity to attack traders such as the civilian from Rheinland I was escorting.

The civilian was almost caught, I had no choice but to distract the Libertonian terrorist with my cover fire. I have succeeded in my endeavour, assaulted the Xeno gunboat and distracted the hostiles for long enough for the civilian to get out, and then proceeded to move out of the area back to Rheinland space to resume patrol.

The untamed borderworlds can be hard to control, I understand that, and civilians willingly take risks traversing them but I would suggest providing warnings about the unlawful presence on the Liberty side of the system, maybe even coordinate better with our neighbours to protect the important commercial connection.

Under the federalist flag we didn't care about regulation as much, resources were few and far in between and we couldn't reprimand traders for minor breaches, not really. The Red Hessians also were not a guarantee of a skirmish - they were desperate times. It does get getting used to unified laws and actual position of universal undisputed authority inside Rheinland.

Minor trade regulation breach
Universal haulers, Peter.Pallet and Premium.Bulge were seen hauling Side Arms to Mannheim station, breaching Rheinland Law Article Three: Trade regulations, §3.1.1. However as they transported said goods from The Ring to a Rheinland station I have issued the lowest fine possible and allowed the vessels to complete their run. Both complied without question.

I must say - minor trade regulations, fights against the usual hostiles at the far edges of space reachable by lone fighter craft and helping civilians? Life feels normal again, like the rift between our people never even happened. Rheinland is as bustling with activity as ever, and I for one very much enjoy indulging in the routine, side by side with my united brothers in arms.
