Template:Missile is for weapons that use gun, torpedo, and cruise disruptor hard-points, with motorized projectiles. Template:Gun provides similar functionality for weapons with non-motorized projectiles.
Recognized attributes are shown in the Usage section below. Of particular note:
- description is used for the text block at the top of the page.
- The value of full-name is the item's full name, as extracted from the infocard data, and should be used for the page title. It is not used by the template and is only provided for reference.
- short-name is used for the title of the infobox.
- If a rotation attribute is provided then the entry is treated as a Turret, otherwise it is treated as a Gun. The infobox data and the Category links in the footer are affected by this outcome.
- If a value for the image attribute is not provided, File:no_fighter_gun.png is used as the default image.
- If an ammo-image attribute is found, a subsection for the referenced image is displayed.
