A mid-sized rock hollowed out hastily in 822 A.S., Hesperia was a necessity for the ever burgeoning supply lines of the Legion. Hesperia serves as both a key staging point and a stepping stone between Legion space and their Xeno allies in northern Liberty. Though its proximity to the New York Jump Gate has made some Legionnaires wary, its relative remoteness and position within the dense Sierra ice field have left Legion leaders with little apparent concern.
The secondary purpose of the newly constructed outpost is to provide the Legion with a swift response against California's numerous pirate forces. Capable of quickly scrambling a few fighter wings, Hesperia's presence is both a step towards ridding California of the Liberty Rogues and Lane Hackers as well as winning the hearts and minds of the Libertonian people.
