Built by Deep Space Engineering as an answer to moving goods through trouble, the Camara is a wonderful little Transport of its own design. The ship has a generous cargo hold, and a rather unique shape for simply slipping through asteroids or whatever else might be in the way.
The Camara was originally a DSE exclusive, but the popularity of the model found it in strong demand by independent contractors across the colonies where the model found strong appreciation in Rheinland. It has several unique features, such as the center line of turrets to provide maximum coverage on almost all sides. It helps that there are six of them as well, along with a generous power-plant and decent armor. Another feature is the quick loading and unloading pods for quick exchanges with orbiting supply depots.

The Camara has slowly grown on all of us throughout the colonies and has finally become known as a good quality freighter for those who have started out in trading for real. Originally built by DSE but luckily released to be bought Siriuswide allows pretty much anyone to fly it. This nifty little hairpin of a ship is everything a small freighter should be. Just under 1.9 million can get you a 630 cargo hold, six Class 2 Turrets, an astonishing 13000 armor rating, a counter measure and a useful Cruise Disruptor/Torpedo slot if you ever feel like pulling any punches. [Editor's Note: As of V4.85.0 there is no longer a CD/T slot] The Camara is so good because it's designed like a fighter, people say it's as hard to hit as an Arrow in some cases; This due to extremely thin and compact shape. There is one downer though that hasn't been told by the dealer. Even though you are equipped for the fight should it ever arise, the maneuverability of it is still that of a heavy freighter. DSE managed to wave their wands and make the size and loadout change but sadly they couldn’t change the fact that it's a freighter. The best thing about the Camara though has to be that it is so small that Pirates can't see it, catch it or kill it, but that's only if the pilot can use that to his/her advantage. The Camara is easly one of the best freighters avaible in Discovery Freelancer. Having the second biggest cargo hold for a freighter with a nice 630 units, the Camara is a nice choice for traders and players just starting , being farely cheap and with a cousy cargo size.
There is more to the Camara besides Cargo hold and its cheap price. The Camara is an exellent and incredible death machine equipped with some Garrands or Flashpoints, making most fighters and bombers seem like they are but NPCs when fighting a skilled player at Turret Steering. Having 6 turrets that can fire in any direction the Camara is something to be feared by any untrained pilot, although there is a blind spot to the Camara's turrets, its "underbelly" cannot support all the turrets and its an area much harder to hit.
The Camara also has a nice hull size of 22,000 and a freighter shield making it more resistant then any Very Heavy Fighter in the game and if used strictly for combat its cargo can hold a Capital Armor Upgrade Mk VIII making the hull size increase to 88,000 units becoming more resistant than some of the smaller gunships.
However the turrets and hull are not the only things making the Camara something to fear. The camara is incredibly slim and agille, a skilled pilot can easly dodge Super Nova Antimmater Cannons at almost point blank and get out of it untouched , not only that but it is incredibly hard to hit even with constant fire. In the right hands the Camara can easly fight 2 Very heavy Fighters or Bombers at the same time and still win the battle.
Overall the Camara is a fascinating ship be it for the start of a trading career or to strike fear upon your enemies with deadly force.
This ship is a mean green(-engined) hauling and fighting machine. Clocking in at 630 cargo space, this tube with almost spherical turret coverage makes Bombers weep. It has a shield that can shrug off at least three Paralyzers before succumbing, can thrust faster than torpedoes, and it can doj SNACs all day long, but it's wet tissue paper to someone who can line up their shots. If you want to pirate in this, have a friend with a CD, because the DSE ship design gods deigned to not put a CD slot on this. This ship is the Typhoon of Freighters down to the color scheme of the hull.
If you log with this, you can hop into group fights like a boss, or frustrate pirates that can't seem to land a hit on you, or terrorize Charon Transports, or possibly actually trade with it and make some decent money, but make no mistake: This is a ship that is built around making trouble weep.
