Despite the best efforts of the most sober minds among the Mollys and Liberty Rogues, the upgraded version of the often-ridiculed Bloodhound wasn't able to succeed in its heavy fighter role. Better shields and a bigger core simply weren't enough to compensate for the ship's massive bulk. Rather than dropping the established design entirely, it was decided to sacrifice any semblance of fighter agility and instead use the ship's large frame to contain a bomber-grade powercore and much heavier armor plating. The Hyena proved a suitable platform for this modification - the Z-line has always been known for its remarkable ability to be improved simply by adding more power. With its dual cruise disruptor and torpedo setup enlarged to use bomber weapons, the ship has finally become a serious threat, perfectly supplementing the superheavy Barghest-class among Liberty and Bretonia's pirates. | Despite the best efforts of the most sober minds among the Mollys and Liberty Rogues, the upgraded version of the often-ridiculed Bloodhound wasn't able to succeed in its heavy fighter role.

Review (4.86)
There are not many ships, which aren't flown in the game. Hyena, sadly, is one of them. Being a rather large light fighter, it comes to be a little bit underpovered in Liberty, where you will find, that most HF's are smaller than this ship. However, a powerplant, which can sustain a mini razor as well as three class 9 gunslots and a class 1 turret slot would make this light fighter an ideal one to take out bombers. And it indeed happens, if you do not get a SN to the side while turning. Error creating thumbnail: Unable to save thumbnail to destination Review by Sindroms |
