Perpignan Spaceport was built in 818 A.S. as a framework for a future trading outpost in the Roussillon system. Currently, since not much trade actually takes place along the surrounding war-torn region, it serves as a supply station and a defensive hub to keep the system secured from possible intruders. The spaceport is located on the edge of the Ariege Nebula, halfway between planets Toulouse and Foix.

After the fall of Le Boulou Outpost Council forces gathered at the station to form several defensive lines between the Montmorency Battlegroup and Toulouse to cover the Planet's evacuation, with the venerable Battleship Pamiers assigned to be the flagship of this defensive contingent.
