The Battleship Fes is a modified Osiris-class vessel procured by the Corsairs from the Order during the years of their alliance, and lacks many of the technological innovations available to the standard Order design. It is, however, more heavily armored and better armed then the Order template. Commissioned in early 809 A.S., the ship has seen little action, mainly patrolling the Omicron Gamma system for incursions until the large scale Red Hessian offensive of 811 A.S. that resulted in the capture of Casablanca and the planet Tangier. Following the failed Corsair counterassault on Casablanca and the decision to commit more forces to Omega-5 instead, the Fes was relocated to Omega-47. The Corsair council stationed it at the jump hole to Omega-41, in order to prevent Hessian scouts and fighters from pouring in through the hole.

In 820 A.S., the Corsair council evaluated that Hessian forces in Omega-47 were being sufficiently suppressed, and thus ordered the Fes to advance into Omega-49 to secure Corsair interests in the system against the slowly encroaching Coalition forces. The battleship's precise location is not yet known to other factions in the system, and the Corsairs are aiming to keep it well supplied in the event that it sees heavy combat.
