This page has been retired but kept for historical or other reasons, The information on this page may be incorrect, out of date or just not relevant to this version of Discovery. It should not be taken as canon nor any authority on the current version of Discovery. It is kept simply to show some history of the Discovery Mod:
With the introduction of DSCore (25th Febuary 2019) (Discovery Freelancer Version 4.91 Patch 5), Ship statistic pages and Ship pages will not be updated anymore. Or not regularly atleast. They will be kept for historical reasons. DSCore will give you the most up-to-date info you can get about almost everything you need to know about Ship and Equipment statistics.

DSCore: Labraid

At first glance, the Labraid species of Nomads appears almost like a naked Rabisu. Contrary to the newer Nomad species, the Labraid does not have the undulating tendrils of light that has become synonymous the Nomads and appear prominently on the Labraid's bigger brother the Rabisu. Leading Order scientists have theorized that the tendrils of light could be a sign of a Nomads maturity, signalling that it has reached the end of its growth or that it could act as a status symbol similar to a peacock's tailfeathers. However, a theory like this is difficult to verify.

While less dangerous to face than the Rabisu, the Labraid is incredibly fast and has been reported to actively use the environment to tip the scales of battle in its favour whenever the opportunity presented itself.
