One of the newest installations owned by Bretonia Mining and Manufacturing, Birmingham mines the abundant resources found in the Manchester system in both the Birmingham and North Sheffield Asteroid Fields. Attacks from the Gaians aren't uncommon, due to Birmingham's supplying of Planetform Inc. for various terraforming projects, most notably the Planet Atka terraforming operation in the Hudson system. Aside from mining Hydrocarbon deposits, Birmingham has been selected by the BMM to produce MOX fuel for the war effort against Gallia, using uranium mined largely depleted fields in New London.
