The Vagrants are Nomads that were pulled into the Hypergate at the end of the Nomad War. Having spent the better part of three decades in another galaxy, they eventually developed a method of hyperspace travel to return an expeditionary force to Sirius. Their absence, however, has left them ill-adapted to humanity's technological renaissance, and the biological changes they endured whilst separated from the Nomads of Sirius have left them unable to connect with the Sirius mindshare, ostracizing them from their own kin.
