Before development of the Aesir shipline, the Red Hessians made use of this bomber. It, frankly, isn't very popular for a number of reasons, including a reputation for fuel leaks, the large profile that it presents to enemy vessels and the fact that it is as ugly as sin itself.
With the acquisition of finer craft, however, the Hessians dumped the ship onto the open black market wherein the bulk of the Waran found quick popularity with the "more power, more guns, fewer problems" crowd, which it turned out included virtually anyone interested in blowing things up. From Junkers to Gaians to Marauders to Xenos, this ship has found universal employment by pilots for whom style is not a concern.

Review
A large, menacing monster of a bomber in terms of stats, visually this ship looks like someone ate scrap metal, and crapped out the Waran. However, it makes up for its visual flaws by being able to tear open anything that is bigger then a transport. With the standard heavy bomber core, the fourth best armor rating, and having the bots and bats to back it all up. Its the heaviest bomber that is still considered 'civilian' and happens to be excellent in the pirating region. A Snac coupled with a Train Cruise Disruptor will mean big profits as long as the local armed forces don't show up. Additionally, some para-military groups like the Hellfire Legion make use of this ships awe-inspiring abilities to rip capital ship apart. Able to fire a Nova torpedo and a Snac at the same time, this ship can become, simply put, one of the best cap killers in the game. Review
Heavier than most of the heavy bombers, this ship can destroy nearly any opponent properly flown. Do not attempt to use it without either dual Nova torpedo launchers or a SNAC/Nova combination. The lack of a dedicated cruise disruptor hardpoint means it's not a ship to be flown solo, you're better off in a Havoc Mk II or a Roc. Some say you would even be better off in a Broadsword. If you don't mind lacking a cruise disruptor, this ship will fulfill your every desire. It has the maximum cargo capacity a light cloaking device will operate with. It has two nearly perfectly centered guns greatly increasing effectiveness against fighters, already supreme through the use of Hellfire Rocket Pods and a SNAC. If you can afford the cornea transplants necessitated by the ugliness of the ship, it will serve you well.
