Creation of a totalitarian Empire under total control of The Core within the Edgeworlds for AP Manufacturing.

The Core is a Private Military Company operating within Edgeworlds and some Borderworlds. They're relentless and willing to do whatever it takes in order to crush their enemies and obtain alien technology within the Edge worlds and Borderworlds. Any who oppose The Core, namely factions such as The Order and the Corsairs, are exterminated without mercy. The Core is funded and maintained by AP Manufacturing.

It is also not unknown for The Core to take contracts from other factions outside of the Omicrons and the Omegas due to their status and flexibility as a Private Military Corporation.

Overview

Outside from the safety of the House colonies lies the Sirian final frontier: The Edgeworlds. The Edgeworlds are a mysterious place filled with unknown treasures, priceless rarities and breath taking sights unlike any other in Sirius. Zoners often set up their own colonies and Freeports within the Edgeworlds, choosing to opt for a peaceful existence away from the Houses. However, such beauty hides evils unbeknownst to the common explorer...

Deadly, terrifying alien creatures and their minions capable of manifesting and disappearing at will, aggressively striking down prey without a second thought. Menacing mechanical constructs roam the Edgeworlds with unknown agendas. Feral Corsairs and Outcasts continue to pirate and kill not only each other, but innocents within the Edgeworlds as well. And finally The Order, a malicious terrorist organization, seem intent on completing their goals, irrespective of whatever human or civil cost must be paid.

However, within the darkness exists a light. The Core, rising from the ashes yet again, strives to preserve, protect and install law and order within the harshness of the Edgeworlds. Functioning out of the wishes and objectives of AP Manufacturing, The Core mercilessly cracks down on all hostile elements within the Edgeworlds, slaying them as part of their conquest. As well as this, they try to obtain as many alien materials and technologies as they can so that APM can create more powerful and potent weaponry and ships for The Core to use. Ultimately, the dream is for The Core and APM to create an Empire within the east of Sirius.

In the Edgeworlds and Borderworlds, people have safety knowing that the eyes of The Core do not blink, is always vigilant and is merciless in pursuit of their goals.

History

The Bounty Hunters Guild Core originally rose as an elite group of Bounty Hunters working as an extension for The Bounty Hunters Guild within the Omicrons. They have been replaced by The Core, with no relation to the Bounty Hunters Guild.

After the battle of Toledo in 819 AS, losses were suffered on both sides. It was evident that The BHG Core was unable to recuperate from their terrible loses and their organizational structure within The Core was failing. The financial support from the House Hunters was failing and was starting to become unfeasible for The Core. APM soon began to find problems themselves, without having a strong source of income they had difficulty producing ships and equipment for The Core. Slowly, it started to seem that The Core itself was an expendable part of the Bounty Hunters Guild. The Bounty Hunters Guild soon started to consider cutting off all support to The Core and pulling The Core out of the Edgeworlds. The Organization soon becoming non-existent.

In 821 A.S AP Manufacturing took the little assets they had left and speedily auctioned them off to potential buyers across Sirius. The corporation was in such desperation that they even had to take drastic matters such as auctioning off some of their bases - such as the long gone Rostock Depot. Once APM had managed to regain a small amount of wealth once again, they started hiring Hunters from the Bounty Hunters Guild and old veterans of the BHG Core to work for them under their own Private Military Corporation: The Core.

In it's infancy, The Core was a small platoon of ship-craft. They mainly focused on securing Omicron Rho and preventing invaders from reaching the system and protecting those who operated within it. Slowly but surely, APM began to find it's feet again and resurface as the equipment and ship building corporation it once was. With it's newfound wealth, it began expanding The Core and turning it into the fierce force it once was within the Omicrons and the Omegas. With this expansion, AP Manufacturing gained access to new ship and equipment building materials - both alien and non-alien alike - which they began to supply both overtly and covertly to potential customers across Sirius, such as the Bounty Hunters Guild and the Law Enforcement.

Currently The Core is fiercely trying to expand further across the Edgeworlds and enforce their law. With their recent gains in Omicron Delta, they hope to establish a capital on Planet Nauru and to add to their territory. Beyond that, they still continue to battle their enemies whilst trying to gather as much alien technology as possible. Recent changes in The Order's method of operations has lead them to take the war out of the Edgeworlds and into the houses and Borderworlds, where both sides fight not only a physical war, but one of information, technology and propaganda.

AP Manufacturing continues to manufacture ships and equipment in the AP-Line for Bounty Hunters, Mercenaries, Law Enforcement and Corporations. The income from their success in the ship and equipment market goes into funding The Core. APM is also researching the extraction of Iridium and the possible uses it may have. The rumour mill in Omicron Rho continues to spin that APM are secretly conducting, possibly unethical, experiments into genetic modifications and other taboo practices to find the next big 'hit' for the market. The CEO assures the public that these are just baseless rumours however, and that any reports of such are just Order lies being used to discredit APM's reputation.

Foreign relations

The following is the summary of The Core's relation with various parties.

Houses

AP Manufacturing sells technology to law enforcement and corporations within all the four houses.

The Core safeguards Kusari, Rheinland and Liberty from Alien and Order forces by defending Tohoku, Alaska and Omicron Rho from attack.

AP Manufacturing supplies various organizations, such as intelligence or military/naval organizations, within the houses with Nomadic Materials as well as Alien Technology that The Core obtains in the Edgeworlds. They are the key supplier of such items, which is in direct contrast to The Order who believe Alien Technology and Alien Materials should never been touched by humanity's hands.

Zoners

Zoners are kept safe by The Core as long as they have a use. Otherwise, they are seen as expendable. Their Freeports provide suitable bases for The Core to launch their operations from. If not for those, attitudes towards the Zoners would be very, very different.

Corsairs

Corsairs are viewed as savage cannibals who continually insist on being a thorn in The Core's side. Those who stand in the way of conquest must be destroyed.

Nomads

These powerful alien beings are not feared by The Core and APM, they are seen as beings of opportunity. They are sought out for research purposes, so that APM can develop powerful technology. Nomads should be hunted without mercy, then cut up or examined for whatever useful information their anatomy may tell.

Artificial Intelligence

The Artificial Intelligence of Omicron Kappa are unusual beings who wield immensely powerful technology of the likes that Sirius has never seen before. Currently, their technology has not been adapted, but APM wishes to be the first to achieve such.

The Order

The Order stand as the biggest walls in the face of Core conquest. They will stop at nothing to see The Core destroyed, nor will they allow The Core to exploit Nomadic Technology. For this reason, they must be exterminated.
