Whitefield was recently dispatched from [[New York]] to be stationed in the New Hampshire system. Being one of the newly built battleships of the Navy, its main duty is providing safe haven for local military patrols.

In the ensuing battle, Battleship Concord's strikegroup suffered nearly total casualties, but surviving elements succeeded in their mission and towed part of the Bremen Facility back to Liberty controlled space. However, Rheinland forces had realized what was going on, and their forces were in position. A wing of cloaked bombers destroyed the tugs that were pulling the station component towards [[Minnesota]]. This was followed up by a three-pronged attack, with [[Battleship Westphalia]] leading the Rheinland vanguard. Concord was forced to flee, and Whitefield's battlegroup moved in to challenge the Rheinlanders. A bloody battle ensued, with neither navy managing to gain the upper hand. Unwilling to risk everything in a total confrontation, both Westphalia and Whitefield retreated, leaving the Munster Station Component stranded in space. Whitefield took up position near [[Planet Winnipesaukee]], serving as a watchful eye over the component as it awaited reinforcements.

With the signing of cease fire agreements between Liberty and Rheinland, the immediate threat of violence in [[New Hampshire]] has passed. While diplomats from both houses struggle to establish post-war borders and agreements, the Liberty Navy has withdrawn Whitefield to [[Planet Colebrook]]. Battleship Whitefield led the rear guard battlegroup in the "Battle for Munster", which was the Liberty Navy's attempt to seize part of the Munster Research Station in Bremen. Trailing behind the strike battlegroup led by Battleship Concord, Whitefield was tasked with protecting the assault group against attack from other Rheinland fleets, which were assumed to be in pursuit. While their assumption was correct, Liberty Naval Command underestimated the amount of forces Rheinland had deployed in the system prior, as they were planning an assault of their own.

In the ensuing battle, Battleship Concord's strikegroup suffered nearly total casualties, but surviving elements succeeded in their mission and towed part of the Bremen Facility back to Liberty controlled space. However, Rheinland forces had realized what was going on, and their forces were in position. A wing of cloaked bombers destroyed the tugs that were pulling the station component towards Minnesota. This was followed up by a three-pronged attack, with Battleship Westphalia leading the Rheinland vanguard. Whitefield took up position near Planet Winnipesaukee, serving as a watchful eye over the component as it awaited reinforcements.

With the signing of cease fire agreements between Liberty and Rheinland, the immediate threat of violence in New Hampshire has passed. While diplomats from both houses struggle to establish post-war borders and agreements, the Liberty Navy has withdrawn Whitefield to Planet Colebrook. However, Rear Admiral Thomas Parnell, CO of the battlegroup has stated that "until final agreements are drafted between our two houses, it is the Navy's job to stand vigilant." Whitefield continues to run patrols throughout the system, as well as full readiness drills for its entire battlegroup, and New Hampshire is still considered a combat posting in the Liberty Navy.
