| description = This system has housed Gallia's government for over 700 years. They came to New Paris after the allience nations betrayed France, from here they restarted all their military, technologic and mining programs. you can see massive space stations where only the biggest of Sirius could even come close.

| description = The discovery of this system was a joint venture between the Gas Miners Guild and Kishiro Technologies. Much of the infrastructure in this system was financed by Interspace Commerce, though the newest addition, the jump gate to Sigma-19 and its attached trade lanes have been sponsored by GMG and Kishiro.

Planet New Paris
Planet Miura
: Planet New Paris, Ile du Palais<br/>Planet New Paris, Saint-Denis<br/>Planet New Paris, Saint-Germain
+
: First charted by the Blood Dragons in 688 A.S. when they discovered the Okinawa system, but due to the resources that a terraforming project would require the Blood Dragons simply could not afford such a vast undertaking. Instead, they focused their assets into building the more viable and long-term investment of Sendai Research Complex, leaving Miura untouched despite the mineral deposits that deep scans revealed.
: New Paris was the first planet colonized by the Gallic Sleeper Ship's arrival in 84 A.S. (0 AGS). Biologically, the world is similar to Earth of the Carboniferous period (late Paleozoa). It has vast forests in equatorial and moderate regions but only a few large animal species capable of breathing atmospheric oxygen. Oxygen concentration on New Paris is similar to human-inhabited Earth, being about 24 percent (unlike true Carboniferous on Earth when the concentration was almost twice as high). This did not allow large insect species to develop, leaving more room for smaller amphibious tetrapods and predecessors of birds. Colder continental areas were scarcely inhabited and had no large land plants. Oceanic wildlife is extremely rich with a wide variety of species, most of them not bearing any similarity with any known Earth animals. The planet's climate was more or less similar to Earth, with temperatures as high as 60°C in equatorial regions, and frequently dropping below -60°C in polar regions.
+

 +
: Miura is an icy, snowbound planet with some quite large glacial formations. Although the atmosphere is breathable to humans, it is rather uncomfortable without decent filter systems. The average temperature rarely rises above -2 degrees Celsius, even at the relatively mild equatorial regions. Despite this, there are a number of indigenous life forms, including the Kaishi, an ice burrowing rodent similar to a cross between an ancient Earth rabbit and rat. Many of the life forms, however, have barely progressed from the invertebrate stages of evolution.

: New Paris has undergone several periods of development, starting with isolated colonies that had highly reproductive populations. Very soon afterwards, large cities emerged from those settlements, and food demand forced them to exploit huge amounts of land to plant crops and raise animals brought from Earth. In many areas, indigenous wildlife was fully replaced with domesticated animals and plants originating from Earth, and accompanying species. Rapid industrial growth resulted in severe pollution that still affects certain areas of the planet, but was mostly cleared out in subsequent centuries. In about 200 AGS, the population of the planet was nearing 100 million, and huge urbanization centers emerged in moderate climate areas near convenient harbors. Those centers were named after old Paris districts, and three of them (Ile du Palais, Saint-Germain and Saint-Denis) have their own orbital docking rings.
+
: The planet was left alone for several centuries save for the occasional landings by the scientists at Sendai to collect samples for research purposes, until the arrival of a GMG ship, the exploration vessel Kinai Maru, in 812 A.S. The Captain, Toru Watanabe, spent almost a year surveying the planet and the nearby Mintaka Hydrogen Field, before returning to Aomori Station to present his findings to the Guild Administrative Board. After deliberating for several months, which included secretive talks with Kishiro Technologies, the decision was made to go ahead and push for a full terraforming project using the accelerated methods recently developed by Kishiro scientists (using stolen Planetform information in some places) in their attempts to solve the overpopulation problems facing most of the Houses.

: The population grew steadily and reached 5 billion by 600 AGS. Millions of people relocated off-world, with massive relocation campaigns taking place to populate worlds with huge resource deposits and industrial capacity, like Amiens (Provence), Bourges (Berry) and later Marne (Champagne). Apart from the relocation programs, many people left New Paris to find cheaper places to live and "new beginnings" for themselves, since New Paris gradually became the most expensive place to live in all of Gallia, except for resort planets, and Marseille in particular. Remote worlds with less comfortable climate provided (and still provide) far lower land and property costs. Ecology issues forced the removal of heavy industry away from New Paris to space stations in Ile-de-France and beyond. The few remaining old-style factories now serve as museums where citizens can observe impressive industrial landmarks similar to those seen on XXII century Earth. Currently, the planet with its 5,3 billion population is considered to be one of the most comfortable places to live in all of Gallia. The planet also never lost its status as the capital of the House of Gallia. Offices of the Royal Government and Royal Chancery, as well as the High Courts and the Parliament, are located within the largest urban centers of New Paris. The monarch with his or her court usually inhabits one of the numerous summer or winter Royal residences.
+
: Starting in late 813 A.S., the terraforming of Miura was initiated, with the construction of the Kishiro base in orbit beginning soon after. Upon landing, planetary geologists and terraforming engineers discovered vast deposits of a number of various rare ores, leading Kishiro to make the decision to begin large scale mining operations on the planet, despite it being during the terraforming process. Due to the desire by the GMG and Kishiro to reduce costs in an already expensive project, it was decided to use prisoners instead of ordinary workers, and they are shipped in from various prison stations to serve as a work force in the uranium mines.
 +

 +
: The shipments of prisoners to such an unusual location have raised some eyebrows within the Kusari government, but for the most part they are only too happy to be rid of the troublemakers. Kishiro has, interestingly, refrained from using any Golden Chrysanthemum or Blood Dragon prisoners for the work in the mines, for fear of reprisals from both groups though possibly also at the behest of the GMG.
 +

 +
: In the last year, Kishiro and the GMG have made remarkable breakthroughs in the development of Miura, not the least of which is the completion of a docking ring for the planet. Plutonium output on Miura has more than doubled since the system was connected to the gate network at the start of 817 A.S. 818 also saw the completion of the much-delayed Sigma-19 gate, finally giving the GMG an avenue between their two domains that didn't involve going through Kusari territory. Despite these improvements to Okinawa's infrastructure, the Hogosha have become an inreasingly greater threat to the operations in the system. While the Hogosha don't enjoy the same level of political protection, the development of the Nagano system has created a safe haven and large source of income for them. The Hogosha have also found a new route into the solar system, no longer hindered by the Golden Chrysanthemum, Blood Dragon, and GMG forces that are a near-constant defense around the known jumpholes to the north, and the Honshu Gate. GMG has made finding the location of the Hogosha base and jumphole one of their largest security priorities.

Mennecy
+
Planet Niiza
: Mennecy is a small dwarf planet located far off the orbital plane of the Ile-de-France system. Officially, it is an ordinary solar body comprised of methane ice and silicates that was formerly a moon of Planet Creteil. Some sources, however, indicate that Melun Research Facility was built in its orbit for a reason, and the dwarf planet contains valuable deposits of certain resources that the Royal Navy prefers to keep secret from the public and from corporations.
+
: An arid planet with a thin, choking atmosphere, it was surveyed shortly after Miura, initially by the original Blood Dragon explorers, and later by the GMG vessel Kinai Maru. Despite an atmosphere breathable by humans, though barely, the planet lies on the very edge of the Green Dwarf star's corona. The day-side facing the sun is scorching hot, with temperatures exceeding 90 degrees Celsius, while the night-side falls to a frigid -80 Celsius.
 +

 +
: Deep scans of the planet have revealed gold and boron in some amounts, and there are a few life forms living deep underground, away from the searing heat and freezing cold of the surface, although the few Blood Dragon and Kishiro scientific landings onto the night side to investigate have revealed that they are not much more advanced than basic arthropods and invertebrates.
 +

 +
: It is unlikely that any serious attempt will be made to terraform, colonize or otherwise extract resources from Niiza, as the costs and dangers involved, particularly due to the proximity to the sun, make it prohibitively expensive and difficult. Neither Kishiro nor the Gas Miners Guild have so far shown any interest in pursuing operations on the planet, although the scientific community that is actually aware of the existence of this planet do occasionally make landings on the surface. Both Kishiro and the GMG have, so far, conveniently ignored excursions by Blood Dragon scientists to this planet and seem content to maintain the unofficial status quo.

Planet Chateau-Tierry
: Chateau-Tierry is a remote desert world on the outskirts of Ile-de-France. In the earliest days of Ile-de-France's colonization it was considered as a potential site for a human settlement. Discovery of jump holes around the system rendered those plans obsolete since neighboring systems offered more attractive colonization options.

Planet Les Ulis
+
| <div style="float: right; margin-right: 4em;">Kofu Dust Cloud</div>
: Planet Les Ulis was one of the first solar bodies surveyed in Ile-de-France. Several mining outposts were established planetside in 100-120 AGS, but they were all closed down around 400 AGS when easily mineable deposits of aluminium and Beryllium were depleted, and the presence of mining operations on this inhospitable world was no longer necessary. Rambouilette Shipyard orbits the planet.
+
Kofu Dust Cloud
{|style="background-color: transparent; margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"
+
: The Kofu Dust Cloud is something of a misnomer, given that it is in fact a cloud of nebulous gases that restricts sensor usage to short ranges. The fine particles of dust that pervade the cloud are responsible for the scanner malfunctions and few ships venture within to explore, especially given the huge Blood Dragon presence within the cloud. It is suspected that the Blood Dragons are hiding something in the Kofu Cloud, but nothing has ever been substantiated.

| <div style="float: right; margin-right: 4em;">Karatsu Cloud</div>
: Brunoy is the largest moon of Planet Creteil. It is a barren world devoid of atmosphere, located within the Senart Debris Field.
+
Karatsu Cloud
{|style="background-color: transparent; margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"
+
: The Karatsu Cloud is often perceived by all who know of its existence to be a hauntingly beautiful cloud of swirling gases and fine particles of dust that catch and refract the light filtering through the cloud from the Green Dwarf star at the heart of the system.
|- style="vertical-align: top;"
+

| Brunoy
+
: Scanners are severely restricted within the cloud due to the nature of the gases and dust particles present, and the Golden Chrysanthemum are known to inhabit the cloud. It is believed that they have a base within Karatsu, although they zealously guard it with heavy patrols and it has never been reliably confirmed.

Planet Meudon
+
| <div style="float: right; margin-right: 4em;">Mintaka Hydrogen Field</div>
: Meudon is a large gas giant with thick atmosphere mainly comprised of hydrogene and helium with notable presence of methane. It is a well-known landmark on the trade lane route from Ile-de-France to Maine. Since early 200s, several stations were located in its orbit. Currently, Versailles Residence is the only one remaining. Shortly after Versailles was completed, other stations in the area were disassembled due to "safety precautions", and their components were transferred to construction sites located in Maine.
+
Mintaka Hydrogen Field
{|style="background-color: transparent; margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"
+
: Discovered in 812 A.S. by the Gas Miners Guild exploration vessel Kinai Maru, the Mintaka Hydrogen Field appears to be one of the largest and most dense hydrogen fields ever discovered. The GMG were quick to move in and establish Fujisawa Mining Facility, and it has rapidly become one of the largest mining facilities operated by the Guild. Caution is to be advised within the field as pockets of explosive gas in some areas present navigational hazards to the unwary.

Planet Clermont
: Clermont is a medium-sized icy world located on the outskirts of Ile-de-France. The planet is devoid of any volcanic activity and has a crust comprised of water and methane ice. The planet is presumed to contain a dense rocky core. Thin atmosphere and lack of internal heat sources make the planet one of the coldest large solar bodies of Ile-de-France. By contrast, Montataire, the only moon of Clermont, is known for substantial volcanic activity and is actually warmer than its parent planet.

Planet Creil
: Planet Creil is often considered to be the core of an ancient gas giant that was deprived of its atmosphere by some cosmic cataclysm, possibly a planetoid impact. Most of the former atmosphere is thought to be condensing around the planet as a cloud known as Senlis. Hidden deep within the cloud, Creil is a planet fully covered with vast and deep oceans that contain varied chemical substances, including organic matter. Complex organic molecules present on Creil are considered to be protobionts that could, according to some researchers, be very similar to ones found on Earth around 3,5 billion years ago. Those protobionts are considered to be progenitors of organic life on Earth, and Creil offers a unique opportunity to study early stages of life formation in natural conditions. The planet is regularly visited by scientific expeditions from New Paris and elsewhere, but attempts to find traces of true organic life were unsuccessful thus far.

Villers-Cotterets
: Villers-Cotterets is a small dwarf planet located within Retz Asteroid Field. It is the gravitational center of the field, being some 30 times heavier than all Retz asteroids combined. Much like the asteroids around it, Villers-Cotterets contained hydrocarbons that are currently mined out of the planet's crust using unmanned drones and shuttlecraft. The planet's surface is densely covered with asteroid impact craters.

Planet Creteil
: A large purple ice giant with a beautiful ring system, Creteil is a true gem of the Ile-de-France system. Its atmosphere is typical for gas giants, comprised mainly of molecular hydrogen and helium. The latter is still mined from the planet's atmosphere. Creteil lies between two of the largest debris fields found in Gallia, Senart and Bobigny. Debris matter from both fields is slowly drifting towards the planet. Larger debris fall down into the planet's vast atmosphere, while many smaller components start orbiting the planet as parts of its outer rings. Planet Creteil has only one large moon, Brunoy.

Planet Evry
: Evry is a medium-sized gas planet with significant amounts of sulfur compounds in its atmosphere. Sulfur is the main contributor to its distinct yellow color. Unlike most gas giants, Evry has an internal structure of a small terrestrial planet, but cannot be considered one due to extensive and dense atmosphere. No economically practical use of the planet's outer atmosphere has been found to date. Landing on its surface is impossible due to extreme atmospheric pressure.

Planet Dourdan
: Dourdan is located in the center of Chevreuse Asteroid Field. The planet was once extensively researched as a site for possible future terraforming. Ironically, surveys of the surrounding asteroid field conducted at the same time indicated presence of a jump hole leading to another system that was later named Orleanais. Discovery of a new means for interstellar travel rendered all ideas of terraforming Ile-de-France planets useless, since habitable planets were found in several systems that were one jump away from Ile-de-France.

Although there's no doubt that much of the Senart debris was generated by massive space station construction going on around Planet New Paris, some parts of the field are known to be radioactive and may be leftovers of a failed experiment that took place in Ile-de-France around 320-330 AGS.

Beauvais Production Facility
+
Isehara Refinery
: Beauvais was one of the first space stations constructed by EFL Oil &amp;amp; Machinery back in the time when it was called EFL Oil. The company initially built its fortune on planetside mining of oil and producing a wide array of petroleum products. Moving to space was a necessary step forward to move the most ecologically hazardous productions away from the planet's surface, and to gain access to easily accessible resource deposits located in space.
+
: Isehara finished construction in 814 A.S., four months after the terraforming of Planet Miura was started. Isehara was originally used to handle the flow of goods to and from the planet, including the Plutonium shipments that frequently made their way up from planet-side and the transports full of prisoners to work in the mines.
 +

 +
: As the base of operations for the entire terraforming project on Planet Miura, quite a few Kishiro scientists, advisors, and even an unspecified number of former Planetform engineers hired for a huge sum are based onboard the station, with sophisticated tracking and weather satellite arrays to keep track of the planet's progress.
 +

 +
: The station itself has a considerable security detachment from both Kishiro's personal forces and the Gas Miner Guild's own paramilitary squadrons, and the civilian transports that make their way to and from the base carrying supplies are generally considered relatively safe from hostile attacks.
 +

 +
: With the completion of Planet Miura's docking ring in 818 A.S., Isehara was set to fulfill its original purpose as the main refinery for the planet's Plutonium production. While still operating as the headquarters for the terraforming project, much of the operations could be moved to the planet's surface with the completion of the docking ring, freeing up that space for refinement.

: EFL started constructing the station in the year 281 AGS, and in the hundreds of years to come the facility was rebuilt several times. It contains a number of highly efficient petroleum processing facilities, making Beauvais one of the primary sources of petrochemicals in the Ile-de-France system. The station is also known for being the closest lawful facility to Beaumont Base. Junkers are fairly frequent visitors at Beauvais, despite the attempts of EFL managers to drive the ambiguous faction away from the facility.
+
: The new docking ring and focus on refinement has increased Kishiro's profits from the Okinawa project dramatically, further solidifying their new control over Kusari's government, as well as solidifying their alliance with the Gas Miners Guild.

Compiegne Space Colony
+
Kamakura Base
: Compiegne Space Colony is a modern civilian housing facility built within the Ile-de-France trade lane hexagon in 690 AGS. Initially operated by a medium-sized space company named Nery Space Construction, it was bought by Solar Engineering after Nery went bankrupt several years after the station's construction. The station was a risky purchase since it failed to become a financial success and was one of the primary reasons of Nery's bankruptcy. Yet, Solar successfully converted it into a luxurious population center for wealthy New Paris citizens who wanted to have an alternate place to live in the system. Since piracy in Ile-de-France is under strict control, civilian convoys in the area are rarely threatened. At Compiegne, citizens are granted a rare opportunity to fly a rented ship into space without obtaining a pilot license.
+
: After having learned of their rival Kishiro's plans in conjunction with the Gas Miners Guild for the Okinawa system in early 815 A.S., Samura Industries decided that it could risk somewhat more indirect intervention to destroy or at least delay the plans of its rivals. To this end, it has enlisted the aid of the Hogosha, insisting that they build an outpost to keep an eye on developments within the system, and disrupt them wherever possible. The Hogosha readily agreed, having no love for Kishiro or the Gas Miners Guild in particular and secretly began construction on Kamakura base within the Hasuda Asteroid Field.
 +

 +
: Construction was completed in late 816 A.S., despite several delays and near discovery of the base by Golden Chrysanthemum and GMG patrols, and the Hogosha makes full use of the base's strategic location to launch raids on both the Kishiro and GMG installations, as well as the Nagano jump gate construction site.

: A large portion of Compiegne is an enclosed private area that is reportedly used as the space-based headquarter offices of Solar Engineering. This part of the station is sealed off from the rest of the space colony and is equipped with significantly reinforced outside defenses. Protected by the company's elite security division, which in many ways resembles a highly trained special operations unit, the headquarters area of Compiegne is not just a highly secured office and apartment complex, but also a fully fledged self-sufficient space fortress.
+
: As their supply lines have become more stabilised, the Hogosha's strategic options have opened up and in addition to a small ship production facility onboard, a fully integrated repair yard was installed to enable the Hogosha to operate with a greater degree of effectiveness so far from their main base.

Beaumont Base (Ile-de-France)
+
Battleship Matsuda
: Ironically, Beaumont Base bears the same name as a Junker base in Texas. This fact is most likely a coincidence, though some Junkers suggest that the idea to name the Texas base (built in 763 A.S.) came from the Gallic overseers of Junker activity in Sirius. Beaumont was built in Ile-de-France back in 303 AGS, shortly after Beauvais was constructed. The bulk of Beaumont's initial hull was comprised of the junk and stolen parts from Beauvais construction sites. It was built by a group that would later become known as the Junkers. A well-known theory suggests that the Junkers actually owe their name to Beaumont's outlook: the station looked like a piece of junk floating in space. Later on, as Junkers grew richer, Beaumont was rebuilt, and while some of its parts still resemble its rough origins, most of the station looks more or less professionally constructed. Beaumont is frequently visited by various parties, including Gallic pirates, freelancing traders, and covert agents of Gallic corporations. It is known to be the primary local source of Nox, a drug that originates from Provence and has gained massive popularity in Ile-de-France and other higher-class planets of Central Gallia.

During the Nomad War , towards the end of 800 A.S., the Blood Dragons led an attack on Tekagi's fortress, resulting in the destruction of the Battleship Musashi and the death of the Nomad-infested Tekagi.

Sarcelles Shipping Facility
: Ile-de-France Shipping was founded in 501 AGS. As a shipping company that specializes in space cargo transportation, the company considered establishing headquarters in space rather than planetside to be a major benefit. IDF's Board of Directors chose the location one trade lane run away from the Burgundy jump gate. Construction of the station that was named Sarcelles took five years to complete, and in 506 AGS it was officially opened. In years to come, it was rebuilt and expanded several times to match an increasing amount of IDF shipments heading through Sarcelles to and from the Gallic Border Worlds.

: The First Gallic War was a disaster for many small shipping companies, especially those heavily involved with Normandy region trade. IDF focused on the Core Worlds and Border Worlds instead. Backed by the government and supported by EFL Oil &amp;amp; Machinery, IDF currently controls a vast market of civilian shipments across the House of Gallia. Sarcelles is still considered the headquarters of the company, but not many board members and chief officers choose to live and work there. Despite the best efforts of IDF designers, living on Planet New Paris is much more comfortable. IDF Shipping owns a small island near Ile du Palais where a large "office city" was constructed to serve as the company's actual headquarters and most of its top employees live and work there.
+
: The Himeji managed to jump into Okinawa, but was finally disabled on the other side, near to the Sendai Research Complex. Golden Chrysanthemum and Blood Dragon soldiers boarded the ship, and assisted by agents of the Order from Sendai, captured the vessel, destroying all traces of Nomads found onboard. The ship was discovered to have too extensive damage to move it too far, so it was slowly nudged into a parking orbit of the research station and left there under the control of Golden Chrysanthemum  techs and soldiers, in gratitude for their assistance.

Montmartre Space Colony
: Gallic records of the first steps of Ile-de-France space exploration are known to be incomplete. Existing records indicate that the area where Montmartre is now located was the site of the very first station construction in Gallic space, dated between 80 and 90 AGS. The first station known as Montmartre Space Colony was built in 197 AGS and was fully rebuilt several times, the last rebuild taking place about 200 years ago.

: Montmartre in its modern state is a huge station that houses almost a hundred thousand people, being one of the largest and well-equipped space colonies ever built. While it is not equipped with its own extensive defenses, it is under the protective umbrella of the state-of-the-art planetary defenses built around Planet New Paris. The station docking facilities are administered by Royal Police, but most of the station is under civilian administration. The structure and competency of Montmartre's administration mostly replicate local governments found on populated planets of the House. The station has its own light industry that employs much of its population, producing a wide array of consumer goods, many of which are exported to New Paris and elsewhere.
+
: Over the ensuing years since the end of the Nomad War, the Golden Chrysanthemums have spent a considerable amount of effort and time to repair it, using hijacked materials from Samura military freighters transporting parts to the various shipyards across Kusari. Eventually, in 813 A.S., the ship was deemed fully operational once more and with much ceremony the Sisterhood re-christened the ship to the Battleship Matsuda, in honour of Yuyu Matsuda, founder of the Golden Chrysanthemum movement.

Battleship Montreuil
: The Burgundy system, despite being located just one jump away from Ile-de-France, was discovered later than most other systems that currently form the Gallic Core Worlds. Moreover, the first humans to settle in it were pirate groups that would later become known as Gallic Brigands. Burgundy was always a dangerous place compared to the Core Worlds, and the Royal Navy was tasked to create a strong defensive shield to secure Ile-de-France from possible intrusions. The task became more important (and complex) after the start of the Second Gallic War. While Burgundy's trade lanes were under tight Navy control, asteroid fields in the system were dominated by the Council and other unfriendly groups. With relative ease, the Council could send its ships into Ile-de-France using those fields. To secure the Hexagon from a possible direct attack from Burgundy, Battleship Montreuil was stationed near the Sarcelles Shipping Facility.

: The battleship itself belongs to a dated Triomphant class that was succeeded by Richelieu class. It was previously tasked to defend Planet Nevers in Burgundy and participated in several military actions in Dauphine and Champagne in the early stages of the Second Gallic War. Currently it is tasked to perform continuous long-range radar scans on nearby trade lanes, and to serve as a home base for a large number of Navy patrols that scout the nearby asteroid fields. The battleship also leaves its position from time to time, flying along Vincennes Nebula and Senart Debris Field to search for potential intruders.
+
: At present, the Matsuda is tasked with guarding the Cardamine run through Okinawa and the jumphole to Honshu, and is home to a large population of Golden Chrysanthemum families in addition to the crew. Outcasts and Blood Dragons are also known to frequent the ship for supplies.

Versailles Residence
+
Fujisawa Mining Facility
: Versailles was completed in 607 AGS after 20 years of continuous building. The station was ordered by King Richard V as his new space residence. Richard was a splendor-loving hedonist who chose to oversee the construction himself. However, constant delays and budget issues prevented the station's completion during his active lifetime. At the time when the station was complete, Richard V was mortally ill and could not leave New Paris. He never had a chance to see his creation in person.
+
: Constructed in 814 A.S. by the Gas Miners Guild after the discovery of vast untapped hydrogen reserves in the Mintaka Hydrogen Field, Fujisawa has grown to become one of the largest bases in operation by the GMG, supplying H-Fuel to various markets across Sirius and assisting Isehara with raw materials needed for its terraforming projects.

: Richard V was an ambiguous figure. But his popularity with the Gallic people was hard to underestimate. After his death, the Gallic Liberation Movement and its supporters in the Parliament passed a law that would restrict Royal family expenses to a small sum annually substracted from the House's budget. At the same time, many parts of Versailles were offered for rent to compensate skyrocketing construction and maintenance costs. Between years 630 and 640 AGS, the Liberation Movement lost much of its former influence, and several of its most notable leaders were tried for treason and convicted. Eventually, the Movement was banned in 636 AGS under the reign of Louis V. Shortly afterwards, many limitations for Royal expenses were removed. The change was explained by increased Maquis terrorist activity that required enhancing security for Royal residences, both planetside and in space. Those few people and companies who could afford renting space on Versailles were asked to move out, and they later claimed that they were denied sufficient compensation.
+
: Fujisawa is also serving as a way station, repair depot and barracks for the security forces that are heavily present in the system due to the sensitivity of the project being undertaken by the Gas Miners Guild and its corporate ally, Kishiro. Both Kishiro and the GMG have invested enormous sums of money into the joint project, with the Guild providing both raw materials and the security muscle necessary to protect their interests.

: With improved security equipment introduced after 645 AGS, Versailles became a popular place for the Kings and Queens of Gallia to visit. It is a large and lush facility that looks more like a palace in space than an actual space station. One distinct difference from other space stations is that Versailles has far larger living quarters, passageways and halls. It houses fewer people than it could with more optimal space distribution. Yet, Versailles is a Royal residence, not a colony. Only a few hundred people are allowed inside, and few outside the Royal Court ever receive invitations.
+
: With the ever increasing attacks against Gas Miner Ogashawa in Sigma 19 by the Corsairs, Outcasts and even Samura's dirty tricks operatives, the Hogosha, the GMG hope that Fujisawa and the Planet Miura terraforming project will help revive their and Kishiro's fortunes in Kusari and the Sigmas, both economically and politically, allowing them to pull out of the Omicrons somewhat and come to some form of unofficial agreement with the Outcasts to lessen the pressure exerted on them by the incessant assaults.

: Due to its status as the second favourite Royal residence (after Louvre on Planet New Paris), Versailles is a target of choice for many Gallic terrorist groups. The Maquis are the most serios threat, and they have already attempted to attack the facility three times, one of which (in 715 AGS) nearly ended successfully. A captured transport loaded with conventional explosives and two nuclear warheads was brought to the station using faked ID signals. The transport was supposed to bring water and other supplies to the station, and Versailles command could tell the forgery only in the last moment. The transport was obliterated by turret fire not far from the station's docks. The explosion was massive, but the nuclear detonators did not activate, and the warheads were taken away from the station area and disarmed. The station sustained minimal damage.

Rambouilette Shipyard
+
Sendai Research Complex
: Rambouilette construction was finalized in 247 AGS, and the shipyard was the first full-service shipyard built in Gallia. It was built and operated by the Royal Navy, tasked to research and construct large capital ships that would be necessary for Sirius' conquest in the then distant future. At about 600 AGS, the facility switched focus from research to mass production of the new capital ship types that were approved for future Navy service. Just like many Ile-de-France bases, Rambouilette was re-built several times throughout its history, with more docks and living space added to adapt ship building needs. The only civilian ships ever built in Rambouilette were the luxury cruise liners for the Royal family.
+
: Built in 692 A.S., four years after the Okinawa system was discovered by Blood Dragon scouts, the Sendai Research Complex was originally designed to house weapon and ship R&amp;amp;D for the Blood Dragons in an uncharted system, to maintain security and secrecy. It is believed that the principle design work behind the Blood Dragon Bomber, whose designs were copied from a captured Kusari bomber, was completed here, although finalized specifications and prototype testing were done at Mito Shipyard.

: Since the beginning of the war with Bretonia, Rambouilette was tasked to supply spare components for ships in addition to building newer ones. Additional workforce was brought in from Maine and Picardy to supply increased demand. The shipyard is also one of the places where one can hire an experienced ship crew.
+
: In 735 A.S., research was expanded to include a Xenoarchaelogical department and an alien biology division, after unusual artifacts of alien origin were discovered in the Tohoku system. This work became of further importance in 793 A.S., after scouts in the employ of Governor Tekagi discovered the Tohoku system and construction began on the fortress base that the Governor would later occupy.
{|style="background-color: transparent; margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"

|- style="vertical-align: top;"
+
: Their research soon became of interest to the Order, who contacted the Blood Dragons in 794 A.S. with the proposition of a mutual exchange of knowledge, although how the Order found out about the top secret research conducted by the Blood Dragons in the first place remains unknown. The two groups agreed and Order scientists soon moved aboard Sendai to assist in experiments. The Order quickly became concerned with the unusual activities of Tekagi, with numerous reports of mysterious artifacts being uncovered by the Governor's agents, and of strange ships sighted around his fortress, and the Blood Dragons agreed to construct a forward observation post in the Tohoku system, in the form of Ryuku Base.

Fontainebleau Residence
: Fontainebleau Residence was built in the year 259 AGS as the very first space residence for Gallic monarchs. Unlike Versailles that was built some 350 years later, Fountainebleau was (and still is) a medium-sized facility that resembles a medium-sized space residence rather than a gorgeous palace. Even before Versailles was built, it was not visited too frequently by Gallic monarchs who preferred the vast spaces and plentiful services of their planetside residences. After Versailles was completed, most Kings and Queens, including Charles XI, preferred Versailles to its counterpart. Yet, since it is a secure facility in Planet New Paris' orbit, Fountainebleau is frequently used as a transit point when the monarch is travelling off-world to other systems.

Avon Hideout
: Avon was one of the first pirate bases founded in Gallia. No one knows exactly when this occured or who were the people daring enough to inhabit an asteroid in the central part of Vincennes Nebula. The asteroid was hollowed by tunnels without much planning or control, and towards 700 AGS the facility literally started to fall apart. With many parts of the asteroid depressurized, pirates that stayed there (most of them were Gallic Brigands at that moment) chose to leave. Maquis, a newly emerged group, soon chose the place to become one of their primary bases. Maquis and later Council invested a large amount of resources in returning the asteroid base to habitability.

: These days, Avon is still far from being a reliable facility, with dozens of unexplored tunnels and pathways. Pressurization problems still emerge from time to time. However, the base does fulfil most housing and security needs of the numerous Maquis who live there. Maquis pilots that use Avon as a base for operations have to be very cautious, since the whole of Ile-de-France space is tightly controlled by the Royal forces. Maquis patrols are scarce and prefer to stay away from trade lanes. Most recon is gathered by mercenaries of various sorts who frequent the station. None of them are part of Maquis or any other faction, and most operate a small legal shipping business. Needless to say that the goods they carry to and from Avon are not always legal. Maquis themselves trade quite a lot, using desolate areas of Ile-de-France to reach jump holes into neighboring systems. The black market on Avon is rather diverse. These days, the station has become known as a reliable source of nanocapacitors.
+
: It was scientists working at the Sendai Research Complex, under the supervision of Lord Hakkera and Research Director Yuu Funabashi, which eventually realised the importance of the Proteus Tome and its connection to the Daam-K'Vosh, and transmitted all their gathered information to both groups in the hopes that the Tome could be retrieved from Governor Tekagi's grasp. Things came to a head during the Nomad War, although Sendai saw little actual action, save for assisting in the disabling and capture of the Battleship Himeji as it retreated from the Nagano Jump Hole.

Soissons Mining Facility
: Soissons Mining Facility was built in 541 AGS by Gallic Metal Service. It occupies a position far below the orbital plane in a desolate ice asteroid field known as Retz Field. The field is one of the few sources of hydrocarbons found in Gallia. Retz was one of the most efficient mining operations in Gallic space, with literally no valued substance left behind in mined-out asteroids. Nowadays the mining still continues, although the field is nearing its depletion. In about 30-40 years it will be fully devoid of any notable hydrocarbon deposits.

: Soissons is an old station that went through little reconstruction during recent years. Housing is rather uncomfortable, and GMS took measures to relocate its workers to better-equipped facilities, replacing them with mechanized labour.
+
: Nowadays, with the Nomad war long over and the Order's alliance with the Corsairs, no Order scientists remain onboard the research base, although the Blood Dragons do still continue their investigations into both the Nomads and their origins, and also into various other alien life forms they have encountered, such as those on the Planets Niiza and Miura. Scientists on both sides occasionally submit reports to each other regarding any new and useful data they might have obtained from their research into the exobiology and astrosociobiology of the Nomads and Daam-K'Vosh.

Melun Research Institution
: Located far above the orbital plane of Ile-de-France, Melun Research Facility is one of the top secret research facilities operated by the government of Gallia. It orbits a small dwarf planet named Mennecy. Specifics about the types of research conducted at Melun remain unknown. Most of them are likely to be related to the weapons and defensive systems developed for Gallic warships, and to mysterious alien artifacts found in remote parts of Gallia.

Fleury-Merogis Prison Station
+
Furyoku Station
: Fleury-Merogis is a prison facility built in 464 AGS in the orbit of Planet New Paris. It is the largest space prison facility in Gallia, housing nearly 20,000 of the most dangerous convicts, most of them sentenced for life. Few ever managed to escape from this place, since space around the station is well-guarded, both by the prison's own defenses and by Planet New Paris' defensive grids. The Gallic Royal Police maintain a full non-disclosure policy about all space prison facilities, and no information is released about the number of escapes. Those few who were lucky enough to be released from Fleury-Merogis report that conditions within the prisons are horrible, medical facilities lack sufficient capacity, and some parts of the station are under full control of the convicts with no guards daring to venture inside.
+
: After the discovery of the Okinawa system, Kishiro and the GMG required a considerable amount of money to quickly begin the construction of the system's infrastructure. Unfortunately, the only corporation both willing and able to underwrite the project was Interspace Commerce, who agreed to insure and finance it in exchange for 5% of the H-Fuel profits and also being permitted to construct a base in Okinawa. The GMG grudgingly agreed, and construction started on Furyoku Station at the same time as Fujisawa Mining Facility was assembled. The station was eventually completed in early 816 A.S., despite a number of sabotage incidences that were believed to be the work of Hogosha agents.

: During the Second Gallic War, many captured Maquis and Council members were imprisoned in Fleury-Merogis. Some of them were tried for terrorism and treason, but some never faced the court. When this information reached Gallic media, many argued that captured Council soldiers and pilots should be treated as prisoners of war, not criminals.
+
: The base handles a large portion of the traffic moving in and out of Okinawa, and the GMG often stores a large amount of H-Fuel reserves at Furyoku. Attacks in the system against GMG and Kishiro facilities, as well as the Interspace base, have been more or less non-existent, save for the occasional raiding parties that are almost certainly Hogosha in origin. Part of the reason for this is almost certainly due to the influence and dealings that Interspace are known to have with the Golden Chrysanthemums. In exchange for the lack of piracy and attacks on their facilities and transports within Okinawa, it appears that both the Kishiro and GMG authorities within the system have taken to turning a blind eye whenever a Golden Chrysanthemum vessel has been seen docking with Furyoku Station.

: Hydrocarbons are a class of organic compounds composed only of hydrogen and carbon molecules, resulting in a wide variety of substances that have important industrial applications. While hydrocarbons naturally occur in a gaseous state almost everywhere in the known universe, frozen deposits present the most easily exploited form of the substance. Hydrocarbon mining is key to the industrialization of the Sirius Sector as it provides the raw materials for the creation of the Ship Hull Panels and Optronics, upon which modern society depends.
+
: A lighter isotope of Helium gas, He3 is an essential component of the H-Fuel used across Sirius. When mixed in equal proportion with Deuterium, the resulting fuel has the advantage of being 'aneutronic' - that is, it does not produce dangerous neutrons that require heavy shielding. Gas Mining companies like the GMG and Samura can charge a premium by delivering the Helium-3 component directly to customers, letting them add their own Deuterium onsite. Known reserves of Helium-3 are in the Crow Nebula of the Sigmas, and the Shiden Cloud in the Hokkaido system.

: The rapid industrialization that followed the settlement of the Sirius Sector has resulted in large fields of Scrap Metal, the detritus resulting from extensive manufacturing and mining operations. These debris fields present both a navigational hazard and a potential second-stage resource, so a small cottage industry has sprung up among those who collect scrap metal and resell it at smelting plants.

The discovery of this system was a joint venture between the Gas Miners Guild and Kishiro Technologies. Much of the infrastructure in this system was financed by Interspace Commerce, though the newest addition, the jump gate to Sigma-19 and its attached trade lanes have been sponsored by GMG and Kishiro.

The principal terraforming of Planet Miura has succeeded in 818 A.S. and a primary docking ring has been established. However, most of the planet still offers a very harsh environment and terraforming by Kishiro will proceed for the foreseeable future.

Main revenue sectors in this system are the high-yield plutonium mines on Miura and the orbital Isehara refinery as well as the refining of Helium-3 to H-Fuel at Fujisawa.

Planet Miura

First charted by the Blood Dragons in 688 A.S. when they discovered the Okinawa system, but due to the resources that a terraforming project would require the Blood Dragons simply could not afford such a vast undertaking. Instead, they focused their assets into building the more viable and long-term investment of Sendai Research Complex, leaving Miura untouched despite the mineral deposits that deep scans revealed.
Miura is an icy, snowbound planet with some quite large glacial formations.
The planet was left alone for several centuries save for the occasional landings by the scientists at Sendai to collect samples for research purposes, until the arrival of a GMG ship, the exploration vessel Kinai Maru, in 812 A.S.
Starting in late 813 A.S., the terraforming of Miura was initiated, with the construction of the Kishiro base in orbit beginning soon after.
The shipments of prisoners to such an unusual location have raised some eyebrows within the Kusari government, but for the most part they are only too happy to be rid of the troublemakers. Kishiro has, interestingly, refrained from using any Golden Chrysanthemum or Blood Dragon prisoners for the work in the mines, for fear of reprisals from both groups though possibly also at the behest of the GMG.
In the last year, Kishiro and the GMG have made remarkable breakthroughs in the development of Miura, not the least of which is the completion of a docking ring for the planet.

Planet Niiza

An arid planet with a thin, choking atmosphere, it was surveyed shortly after Miura, initially by the original Blood Dragon explorers, and later by the GMG vessel Kinai Maru.
Deep scans of the planet have revealed gold and boron in some amounts, and there are a few life forms living deep underground, away from the searing heat and freezing cold of the surface, although the few Blood Dragon and Kishiro scientific landings onto the night side to investigate have revealed that they are not much more advanced than basic arthropods and invertebrates.
It is unlikely that any serious attempt will be made to terraform, colonize or otherwise extract resources from Niiza, as the costs and dangers involved, particularly due to the proximity to the sun, make it prohibitively expensive and difficult.

Kofu Dust Cloud

Kofu Dust Cloud

The Kofu Dust Cloud is something of a misnomer, given that it is in fact a cloud of nebulous gases that restricts sensor usage to short ranges.

Karatsu Cloud

Karatsu Cloud

The Karatsu Cloud is often perceived by all who know of its existence to be a hauntingly beautiful cloud of swirling gases and fine particles of dust that catch and refract the light filtering through the cloud from the Green Dwarf star at the heart of the system.
Scanners are severely restricted within the cloud due to the nature of the gases and dust particles present, and the Golden Chrysanthemum are known to inhabit the cloud. It is believed that they have a base within Karatsu, although they zealously guard it with heavy patrols and it has never been reliably confirmed.

Mintaka Hydrogen Field

Mintaka Hydrogen Field

Discovered in 812 A.S. by the Gas Miners Guild exploration vessel Kinai Maru, the Mintaka Hydrogen Field appears to be one of the largest and most dense hydrogen fields ever discovered. The GMG were quick to move in and establish Fujisawa Mining Facility, and it has rapidly become one of the largest mining facilities operated by the Guild. Caution is to be advised within the field as pockets of explosive gas in some areas present navigational hazards to the unwary.

Space Stations

Isehara Refinery

Isehara finished construction in 814 A.S., four months after the terraforming of Planet Miura was started. Isehara was originally used to handle the flow of goods to and from the planet, including the Plutonium shipments that frequently made their way up from planet-side and the transports full of prisoners to work in the mines.
As the base of operations for the entire terraforming project on Planet Miura, quite a few Kishiro scientists, advisors, and even an unspecified number of former Planetform engineers hired for a huge sum are based onboard the station, with sophisticated tracking and weather satellite arrays to keep track of the planet's progress.
The station itself has a considerable security detachment from both Kishiro's personal forces and the Gas Miner Guild's own paramilitary squadrons, and the civilian transports that make their way to and from the base carrying supplies are generally considered relatively safe from hostile attacks.
With the completion of Planet Miura's docking ring in 818 A.S., Isehara was set to fulfill its original purpose as the main refinery for the planet's Plutonium production. While still operating as the headquarters for the terraforming project, much of the operations could be moved to the planet's surface with the completion of the docking ring, freeing up that space for refinement.
The new docking ring and focus on refinement has increased Kishiro's profits from the Okinawa project dramatically, further solidifying their new control over Kusari's government, as well as solidifying their alliance with the Gas Miners Guild.

Kamakura Base

After having learned of their rival Kishiro's plans in conjunction with the Gas Miners Guild for the Okinawa system in early 815 A.S., Samura Industries decided that it could risk somewhat more indirect intervention to destroy or at least delay the plans of its rivals.
Construction was completed in late 816 A.S., despite several delays and near discovery of the base by Golden Chrysanthemum and GMG patrols, and the Hogosha makes full use of the base's strategic location to launch raids on both the Kishiro and GMG installations, as well as the Nagano jump gate construction site.
As their supply lines have become more stabilised, the Hogosha's strategic options have opened up and in addition to a small ship production facility onboard, a fully integrated repair yard was installed to enable the Hogosha to operate with a greater degree of effectiveness so far from their main base.

Battleship Matsuda

Originally the Battleship Himeji, commanded by Chujo Michio Raikatugi, was permanently stationed outside Governor Tekagi's fortress in the Tohoku system, along with the Battleships Ishioka, Musashi and Sennan. During the Nomad War , towards the end of 800 A.S., the Blood Dragons led an attack on Tekagi's fortress, resulting in the destruction of the Battleship Musashi and the death of the Nomad-infested Tekagi.
After the Governor was killed, the Nomad-controlled crews of his defence fleet began to fall into a retreat towards an unknown jumphole in the Tohoku system, while members of the Blood Dragons and hired Freelancers withdrew with the alien artifact that they had been sent to recover from the fortress. The Blood Dragons, fighting against heavy odds, sent a call to arms to the Golden Chrysanthemums, who responded with all available ships.
As they arrived, the Battleship Sennan was destroyed in a fiery explosion as the magnetic fields around the fusion reactor collapsed. With extensive engine damage, partially inflicted by the dying Sennan, the Battleship Himeji changed course, limping towards the Nagano jumphole, pursued by large numbers of Golden Chrysanthemum fighters, bombers and transports. The Battleship Ishioka escaped, and its whereabouts today remain a mystery.
The Himeji managed to jump into Okinawa, but was finally disabled on the other side, near to the Sendai Research Complex.
Over the ensuing years since the end of the Nomad War, the Golden Chrysanthemums have spent a considerable amount of effort and time to repair it, using hijacked materials from Samura military freighters transporting parts to the various shipyards across Kusari. Eventually, in 813 A.S., the ship was deemed fully operational once more and with much ceremony the Sisterhood re-christened the ship to the Battleship Matsuda, in honour of Yuyu Matsuda, founder of the Golden Chrysanthemum movement.
At present, the Matsuda is tasked with guarding the Cardamine run through Okinawa and the jumphole to Honshu, and is home to a large population of Golden Chrysanthemum families in addition to the crew. Outcasts and Blood Dragons are also known to frequent the ship for supplies.

Fujisawa Mining Facility

Constructed in 814 A.S. by the Gas Miners Guild after the discovery of vast untapped hydrogen reserves in the Mintaka Hydrogen Field, Fujisawa has grown to become one of the largest bases in operation by the GMG, supplying H-Fuel to various markets across Sirius and assisting Isehara with raw materials needed for its terraforming projects.
Fujisawa is also serving as a way station, repair depot and barracks for the security forces that are heavily present in the system due to the sensitivity of the project being undertaken by the Gas Miners Guild and its corporate ally, Kishiro. Both Kishiro and the GMG have invested enormous sums of money into the joint project, with the Guild providing both raw materials and the security muscle necessary to protect their interests.
With the ever increasing attacks against Gas Miner Ogashawa in Sigma 19 by the Corsairs, Outcasts and even Samura's dirty tricks operatives, the Hogosha, the GMG hope that Fujisawa and the Planet Miura terraforming project will help revive their and Kishiro's fortunes in Kusari and the Sigmas, both economically and politically, allowing them to pull out of the Omicrons somewhat and come to some form of unofficial agreement with the Outcasts to lessen the pressure exerted on them by the incessant assaults.

Sendai Research Complex

Built in 692 A.S., four years after the Okinawa system was discovered by Blood Dragon scouts, the Sendai Research Complex was originally designed to house weapon and ship R&amp;D for the Blood Dragons in an uncharted system, to maintain security and secrecy. It is believed that the principle design work behind the Blood Dragon Bomber, whose designs were copied from a captured Kusari bomber, was completed here, although finalized specifications and prototype testing were done at Mito Shipyard.
In 735 A.S., research was expanded to include a Xenoarchaelogical department and an alien biology division, after unusual artifacts of alien origin were discovered in the Tohoku system. This work became of further importance in 793 A.S., after scouts in the employ of Governor Tekagi discovered the Tohoku system and construction began on the fortress base that the Governor would later occupy.
Their research soon became of interest to the Order, who contacted the Blood Dragons in 794 A.S. with the proposition of a mutual exchange of knowledge, although how the Order found out about the top secret research conducted by the Blood Dragons in the first place remains unknown.
It was scientists working at the Sendai Research Complex, under the supervision of Lord Hakkera and Research Director Yuu Funabashi, which eventually realised the importance of the Proteus Tome and its connection to the Daam-K'Vosh, and transmitted all their gathered information to both groups in the hopes that the Tome could be retrieved from Governor Tekagi's grasp. Things came to a head during the Nomad War, although Sendai saw little actual action, save for assisting in the disabling and capture of the Battleship Himeji as it retreated from the Nagano Jump Hole.
Nowadays, with the Nomad war long over and the Order's alliance with the Corsairs, no Order scientists remain onboard the research base, although the Blood Dragons do still continue their investigations into both the Nomads and their origins, and also into various other alien life forms they have encountered, such as those on the Planets Niiza and Miura. Scientists on both sides occasionally submit reports to each other regarding any new and useful data they might have obtained from their research into the exobiology and astrosociobiology of the Nomads and Daam-K'Vosh.

Furyoku Station

After the discovery of the Okinawa system, Kishiro and the GMG required a considerable amount of money to quickly begin the construction of the system's infrastructure.
The base handles a large portion of the traffic moving in and out of Okinawa, and the GMG often stores a large amount of H-Fuel reserves at Furyoku.

Helium-3

Error creating thumbnail: Unable to save thumbnail to destination
Helium-3
A lighter isotope of Helium gas, He3 is an essential component of the H-Fuel used across Sirius.
