Heavily modified version of the Crusader, named the Templar, is the latest addition to Bretonia Armed Forces. Very heavy fighters of this type are built in an effort to stop Corsair expansion into Bretonia space. Armor capacity of this ship is rumored to be superior to any other very heavy fighter in Sirius, however, just like Corsairs' Titan, it lacks maneuverability.

I perfer the 'slow' ships to the 'fast' ships but the Templar is just too much. Yes it has ****ing much Hull but what is that good for when even some freighters are able to keep behinde you all the times? Even the most bombers are more agile than you. Templars can be good when there are at least two of them guarding each other but you can never play a Templar solo or everything will kill you when it is behinde you first times; you will not be able to face your enemy anymore. The Werewolf and the Mjolnir count as SHF and have what the Templar is missing; power core and turrets, so you can stay still to grab the flies from your neck. When you want to play a BAF figther get Hussar or Paladin so have a chance against the royal Navy. Pros: Hull Cons: Allmost everything Rate: 3/10 - 3 because of the strength in higer numbers. Top 10 placement: No Version: 4.90 (March2018) Error creating thumbnail: Unable to save thumbnail to destination Review by Misterich |

A long time ago, in a time where I wasn't the smartest crayon in the wine cellar, is used to despise this ship. "It's too slow!" I thought with my narrow minded viewpoint. But oh no, even if this ship might appear docile, it is a force to be reckoned with. Boasting very tough armor, and a rather hard to hit shape, the Templar proves to be more then a match for most ships in a duel. However, the powercore leaves a bit to be desired, but generally it is plentiful to mount 6 weapons. At its best, its a tough VHF that can be hard to hit, and has enough hitpoints to hardly care when it does get hit. At its worst, its a slow nugget with rather limited arcs. If you're in a duel, its advisable to try and face down your opponent. If allowed, most fighters will be able to get behind you and that can be very painful while using a Templar. However, if your aim is true enough and you can move around yourself, it should be no problem to force lesser VHFs to kneel before your might as you enforce the will of the Queen. This is a slow fighter with a rather low power core, how could it be good? Well, short answer, it has a ridiculous amount of hull, 14,000 to be exact, and that means with AU8, you get 35,000 hull, that's more than a SHF or Bomber, this ship isn't the best against other snubs, but it sure is a tough cookie, and when used right, this tank can be a hard fight!
