Cambridge System

Main description

Cambridge system is located at the frontier of the Bretonia system, and serves as the primary food producing system for various planets and bases throughout Bretonia and aboard. Other than food, Cryer Pharmaceuticals have also established a base in this system, concentrating on the production of pharmaceuticals. On the other side, this system heavily consumes diamonds, optical chips and alien organisms. In fact, a very short and lucrative run of commodity involves transporting diamonds from Rheinland to this system or Leeds.

Special feature

This system got its famousness by the universities. In all Sirius is no better place for studing; the Cambridge Research Station is the best research station in Sirius and is visited by academics, scientist and scholars each day. But the learning is nott everything Cambridge is known for. Bretonia is a big house with very less setteld and liveable planets. New London is oo much settled and and Leeds's atmosphere is to toxic and smoggy for a big agrarian economy so that Cambridge is was the only possible choice for a "food-industry". Cambridge is also the granary of Bretonia. At least Cambridge has got some large Beryllium fields which are mined by IMG at Cardiff Mining Facility and by BMM at Bristol Mining Facility.

Status Quo:

Since Gallia has been overtaken Leeds, Cambridge was formed to a more industrial system to replace what they lost with Leeds. The restart of the "Planet Sprague-Project" put Cambridge up to the status as the most important Bretonian system for economy,education, culture, and trading.

Grasmere Ice Cloud

Cardiff Asteroid Field

A medium-sized asteroid field notable for its large deposits of Beryllium. A branch of the Independent Mining Guild (IMG) based on the Cardiff Mining Facility has been working the field with lucrative results, despite occasional raids by Corsairs who have managed to circumvent the Cambridge Line.
