Previously a barren world, Harris was the object of one of the first large-scale terraforming efforts by Planetform, Inc. Initiated in 450 AS, the project was made easier by the abundance of pure Water and Oxygen ice in the system, while Terraforming Gases were easily transported by Bowex from the Stokes Mining Station in nearby Leeds. Planet Harris was originally scheduled to finish colonization in the current year, 820 A.S., but repeated Gaian attacks delayed that by quite a bit, and to make matters worse, Harris has been on the front lines for seven long years. During this time, it suffered from repeated attacks and isolation from suppy convoys. Harris has had surrounding space ringed with a minefield and is heavily defended due to this, and has defense forces at all times. From 817-818 A.S., it was isolated from Bretonian forces by the Kusari Naval Forces, and was resupplied only in 819 A.S. Since 820 A.S., it has been isolated again, this time by the Gallic Royal Navy. The minefield surrounding it has gotten thicker, and the Bretonians still desperately defend it.
