Freeport 11 is one of the most remote outposts of Sirius' human population, in close orbit of the young Delta star. It became operational in 810 A.S. when rich Iridium reserves were discovered in the system's asteroid fields, and until the Freeport administration's intervention, inhabitants of the station mercilessly competed with one another over access to the extremely valuable metal.
Today, the station's utmost dedication for safety verges on being authoritarian and xenophobic, due to the constant threat posed by the Nomad presence throughout the Omicrons. There are constant checks and redundant countermeasures in place against the infected. While extended stays are not common, random disappearances are suspiciously frequent.
Freeport 11's long-suffering population now faces increased difficulty as an accord signed by the station and the Core to prevent any further conflict has soured relations among the Order and the Corsairs, escalating tensions within the already highly volatile Omicron Delta.
