Overview HiTech Research is a private subsidiary founded at the middle of 819 A.S., in order to revive the evolution of the Ageira Technologies. Its main specialisation is research and development of parts for Trade Lane and Jump Gate Network, which completely revolutionised travels throughout the Sirius Sector, with many centuries ago. This company is involved also, in the manufacturing of the Havoc Mk II civilian bomber and development of medium sized arms, being focused to gain the trust on the market for these products. History 1st Century In accordance with the chronological records of its history, Ageira Technologies was created in 44 A.S. initially under the name of Valhalla Research, with backing from the Liberty government, in order to research materials and to discover a way for the miniaturization of the same drive technology that was used by Alliance to power the great sleeper ships, in travel from the old Sol to Sirius. After five decades of studying, in 96 A.S., with the arrival of the LCC Einstein in Rheinland, was made possible the first real-time communication, through a series of Faster Than Light relay buoys and Valhalla's new "Valhalla drive technology," was exchanged for Rheinland's advanced information on construction technology. Ten years later, after the arrival of the LCC Edison in Bretonia, a new deal was made over the new communications link with the consent of the Liberty government and Bretonia exchanges it's advances in materials technology for the new engine designs. 2nd Century In 120 A.S. Valhalla Research invents the orbital Docking Ring, using advanced materials technology recently gained through trading of the "Valhalla drive technology". Using superstrong crystalline polymers and frictionless bearings, these docking rings have revolutioned the way through ships are launched from a planet into space. When are connected to orbital docking rings, these materials are used to create a "elevator" that almost completely negate the high costs of launch and landing, providing a controlled entry or exit through planet's atmosphere. This technology is licensed also to other houses, being considered a huge step for exploration and commercial exploitation of the systems from all main houses. After the success of the last project, in a secret meeting with the Order of Cincinnatus, the highest ranking board members of Valhalla Research planning the initiation of a new ambitious project. According with this plan, using the research that was made on Valhalla 1, the "Project Jump Gate" would be completed in fifty years. The idea it was to create a Jump Gate that could make it possible a extremely fast travel between two different systems, with amazing benefits in the humanity’s development, limited until then by the time necessary to perform this kind of travel. In 126 A.S., Valhalla Research announces building a major research facility in the Texas system and began to expand its operations in this system. Two years later, the construction of the Dallas Research Station is completed. This base was used in the research of "Project Jump Gate" but also in other secret projects, in collaboration with the Liberty Military. In 130 A.S. is recorded one of the most important events in all of human history: first test of a Jump Gate. Houston residents from the northern hemisphere have mentioned something about a bright flash, like a meteor streaking across the sky at exactly 15:34 HST and... nothing more. This flash was a small drone leaping across many light years of space, in the blink of an eye. But several weeks later, Valhalla Research received a telemetry signal from the drone, indicating that it is intact and survived in this the jump. Testing of this "Prototype Jump Gate" was a success and marked the dawning of a new age. Timeline 44 A.S. Is formed Valhalla Research with backing from major interests in the government and military. 51 A.S. Is founded Deep Space Engineering wich become the main partner of the Valhalla Research in its projects. 96 A.S. Is made possible the first real-time communication, through a series of FTL relay buoys. 106 A.S. Bretonia exchanges its advances in materials technology for the new engine designs. 120 A.S. Is invented the orbital Docking Ring by using advanced materials technology, gained through trading of the "Valhalla drive technology". 126 A.S. Valhalla Research announces building a major research facility in the Texas system. 128 A.S. The construction of the Dallas Research Station is completed and the base is used in the research of "Project Jump Gate". 130 A.S. First prototype Jump Gate is tested successfully in Texas and is considered one of the most important events in the Sirius history. 150 A.S. Is founded Universal Shipping and will be used to handle shipping of Ageira Technologies jump gate parts. 155 A.S. Valhalla Research change its name in Ageira Technologies. 180 A.S. Ageira Technologies completes first full scale test of a Jump Gate, between Texas and Alaska. 181 A.S. Universal Shipping signs first contract with Ageira Technologies for handling Jump Gate parts. 185 A.S. The President of Liberty unveils the Jump Gate project to the public. 189 A.S. Is opened the first official Jump Gate between Colorado and New York. 207 A.S. New York and California are connected trough a new Jump Gate. 215 A.S. Ageira Technologies builds a manufacturing facility in Colorado for Jump Gate parts. 218 A.S. Is founded Interspace Commerce by Ageira Technologies and Deep Space Engineering. 280 A.S. Is introduced a new technology created by Ageira Technologies: Trade Lane. 350 A.S. Almost of all Liberty systems are crisscrossed by trade lanes. 420 A.S. Ageira Technologies facility from Colorado is concentrated on production of trade lanes components. 500 A.S. Is registered the "Texas Incident", one of darkest events from the humans history. 614 A.S. Ageira Technologies open in New York, the Detroit Munitions Depot. 700 A.S. Interspace Commerce and Ageira Technologies becomes business partners in a new project: the "Real Time Scanner". 738 A.S. Former Ageira Technologies employees form the Lane Hackers, known as a criminal group. 800 A.S. The Nomad War begins and Ageira Technologies registers a surge in small and medium-sized arms purchases. 819 A.S.
