While having less cargo space than some of the Trains, the Heavy Tanker is irreplaceable for carrying bulky cargo. Having a single large cargo bay instead of multiple cargo pods, this ship is capable of carrying capital ship hull components and space station modules. Reinforced hull provides additional protection against possible pirate attacks.
Handling
- This ship is too large to use docking bays, it must use mooring points.

The Heavy Tanker is an admirable ship that most can't deny is good value for money. It's very reliable, probably one of the most reliable transports on the market today. It may not stand a chance against most pirates who are armed as you'd expect these days but it can give them a run for their money literally. The rear engines do make it vulnerable to less advanced disruptors but its armor rating is so high that it can withstand a lot more punishment than most other shipping vessels. A disappointing six turrets are enough to fend of some pesky rookies but it's still more than most ships with a hold of its size. The maneuverability of this brick is surprisingly slow; all that armor has punished it severely with a turning circle of 35-40 seconds. But luckily due to it's reduced size it doesn't get as bad a rating as the Advanced Train for getting caught up in asteroid fields. This thing has no problem docking with trade lanes and Jump Gates alike. However, in the details of the description it does list that this ship was designed by lawful factions for lawful pilots, so its availability is restricted. If you want to tighten the net further, then the only factions able to use this ship would be EFL, BMM, Ageira, Daumann and House Militaries. This being that it was said to be designed to transport liquids (Oil & Water) and other solid materials such as Capital Ship Hull Panels (Ship building Factions). But this is very flexible and can be branched out to pretty much every faction except for those unlawful. This ship is the only option 2 if you find yourself not desiring a super transport in particular because of its reliability, quality and amazing price of 115.5 million. Edition 1#: The Heavy Tanker The Heavy Tanker, The Titanic, or simply "woah" when a newbie pulls up next to you when you emerge from a jumpgate. It's big, it's bulky, but it's a beauty. As you may of noticed, it is a rather large ship, not the largest, certainly not, but still large, meaning it does have quite bad maneuverability, it has a huge turning circle time of 35-40 seconds, and generally just feels sluggish. The distance between the two ends of the ship and the positioning of the turrets at these ends does make aiming quite hard if your not an extremely skilled gunner, so I suggest mounting some high refire rate weapons. So you atleast have a chance of hitting smaller ships like fighters. But if you go against other large ships such as transports, the amount of armour this thing hauls should give you a fair chance. In general the Titanic is neither aesthetically pleasing or displeasing. Although I do dislike the larger sections at the front and rear of this ship, but that is just a personal opinion. I use this ship as my trader/bank and it suits me fine, it has an aura of uniqueness as you don't see many of them round which makes you feel like you've made a different choice to the people who jump for your everyday super transport type thing, and it is a rare jewell, a cargo ship, a transport no less, that has character. You can forgive it's autopilot for circling you around a tradelane ring for ten minutes because of it's poor handling, and when you bump into a starflea and blow it into smitherines, you laugh and this ship laughs with you (Although the starflea pilot might not be happy) and when you accomplish a massive run, with millions of credits in profit and no pirate interruptions you look back and remember, "I did that, with my Titanic Heavy Tanker." Thankyou for reading, I've been Charlie Bennett, You've been an amazing reader.
