Gallic Royal Marines are volunteers recruited from the regular infantry and are the elite infantry forces of the Gallic Royal Navy. Tasked with the highly dangerous task of boarding hostile ships and space stations in potentially zero gravity or no-atmosphere environments, these troopers are trained to use personal rocket packs, electromagnetic boots, and pressurized space suits in addition to the normal arsenal of heavy assault weapons. When not engaged in ship-to-ship or ship-to-station assaults, Royal Marines are often deployed to the most dangerous areas of the war zone as garrison troops, riot police, and for use in many other infantry maneuvers.
