Built in 826 A.S by the Norfolk Shipyard, the Shenandoah, a Liberty Dreadnought of the Overlord class was intended to serve on the Gallic front lines, mainly in the California system to release the pressure which Battleship Alma was receiving. The hull of the Shenandoah was of that conventional Liberty Dreadnought - however it received a significant compliment of crew, with an experienced Captain, Alice Heyes, who was a veteran of Rheinland-Liberty war and went on to serve up until the end of that war. Upon completion of the construction, the vessel was sent to oversee the terraforming operations on Planet California Minor where it held off the presence of the known Gallic Royal Navy, it was only upon announcement of Operation Vanguard that Shenandoah started to shine as a special warship as she took helm of the patrol base in the system, holding off until the Battleship Betheny was destroyed and the experienced Battleship Yukon returned to California system - unfortunately, both capital ships were destroyed and Shenandoah was recalled back to Norfolk Shipyard for refits and repairs - it was a surprise for Captain, as the fate of Los Angeles citizens were on her hands. However, any more attacks weren't focus on Los Angeles, more against the Planet California Minor garrison forces. Upon Shenandoah's arrival in dry dock, it received significant upgrades to systems and the weaponry placement, adding up three additional secondary turrets.

With Shenandoah's repairs and refits finished at the end of the month, Shenandoah was sent directly to the Gallic front line heart: the New London system, with the Independent worlds cleansed from Gallic Royal Navy's forces, allied supply ships had been given major breathing room, together with the other allied forces. Shenandoah arrived days later, and it wasn't long before the expected rapid push by Gallia happened, since the Operation Ice Lance proceeded to disrupt the enemy supply line in the Tau-31 system. With that, it forced a hand for the Gallic Military, proceeding to make a terrible mistake which costed them many of the veteran fleets - but not without Battleship Dax proceeding to siege the Planet New London's surface before retreating, making significant damage to several major cities and those minor ones. With the victory against Gallic invaders, allies went on the offensive for the Leeds system to save it from the terrible fate of being destroyed and polluted, Gallia, having a concern that allies would breach the Leeds via the connection they established, had deployed with conjunction of Gallic Royal Intelligence, the Montagne prototype weapon platforms which proceeded destroy Battleship Ottawa - one of the more important battlegroup leaders in New London - upon entering Leeds system thanks to the defectors handing them over the jump gate codes to allied forces.

Shenandoah was second to enter the Leeds system, and upon witnessing the Ottawa being destroyed, Shenandoah Captain immediately ordered the evasive maneuvers which saved the vessel from destruction from massively modified corona beams - the crew was lucky enough that the weapon platforms were damaged from firing a second time and could not fire up again and thus Shenandoah proceeded to exchange fire with the enemy until allied forces arrive to clean up and support the vessel, however it was too late for the Leeds system as it was laid in ruin thanks to the Gallic Royal Navy, which weeks later called themselves the Gallic Royal Enclave. Upon Norfolk's arrival at the Leeds orbit, Shenandoah was sent back to the Liberty space for further upgrading as the Admiralty was impressed with the vessel's adaptability - she was escorted by the Liberty Security Force members to Liberty space up until the New York system where it set course for the Norfolk Shipyard. Upon docking, the vessel received a compliment of special enhancement upgrades which went on to be used later on strategically, and mostly repairs as the vessel received moderate damage over the course of the counter-offensive. Battleship proceeded to later on patrol the backwater system of the Colorado, but not for long as the Shenandoah was called to reinforce the Battleship Rio Grande and her battlegroup as the Battleship Carcassonne proceeded to flee the opposition as her supply lines were cut thanks to Ageira Technologies taking back control of Magellan Jump gate back to Liberty forces. Fearing that the Gallic Royal Enclave warship would do damage to the civilian infrastructure in border worlds, Liberty Navy was ordered to hunt down the vessel, however, the vessel surrender to the Battleship Alma and Battleship Concord following their return from New London system.

With the Gallic threat over in the Liberty, Shenandoah taken up many objectives which led her to be upgraded to state-of-the-art Mitchell class Liberty Dreadnought with the Triple Hull design, most notable operation was the Magellan incident which saved both the LNS Loyalist, 5th fleet gunboat and the LNS Louisiana, secondary fleet battlecruiser - the vessel went on as well to take back the Bering system with Battleship Concord and her cohort, successfully removing the pirate threat from system, but for the cost of losing Captain Alice Heyes into coma. With that, the ship was allowed to be transferred to the first fleet which made a major part of the crew re-assign to different ships, shortly after, the crew was filled with many greenhorns of various nationalities, including Gallic, from the West Point Academy and currently Captain Marcus Robinson of the first fleet now leading the ship.

It is unknown how long Shenandoah will stay in service, however, her reputation as an elite guardian of the Liberty has been noted by many, and it continues to serve the ship and the people who want to live free in freedom and peace in the Sirius sector, and will remain a reminder that there's something monstrous waiting to however undermines the people's will and power to choose.
