Dauphine was the site of many battles in the Second Gallic War, and currently the staging ground for the Gallic Royal Navy as they prepared to drive Council out of Languedoc. The system was in the state between large engagements, and tentative traffic could be seen going from Gap Station to Burgundy. Today the system is controlled by the GRN & GRP again. The Republican Forces were beaten and falled back in to Sirius or to Planet Marne. The wreck left behinde from the war can still be found everywhere - the system will need much more time to heal this wounds. But the new war with Bretonia hold also a hope, that Planet Vienne may be colonized one day with the help of the superior terraforming technology of Planetform. The system economy is based on Promethene.
