STABILINE
Cryer Pharmaceuticals manufactures Stabiline using the most advanced nanotechnology processes in a zero gravity environment. Stabiline is a therapeutic agent that mimics key molecular structures naturally occurring in Cardamine, and is intended as a gentler synthetic replacement for the treatment of patients addicted to the Outcast drug.
Although Stabiline can replace the Cardamine necessary for survival and metabolism stabilization in normal patients, Stabiline is designed to not affect the DNA of its users and they cannot become physiologically addicted to it. For severely altered users like the Outcasts, Stabiline, like Cardamine, provides only a temporary solution and cannot keep them alive indefinitely by itself.
Stabiline has none of the beneficial effects on the user's metabolism unlike Cardamine, apart from a temporary boost, and as of 829 AS - the more recent clinical studies on long term user have pointed to an increased risk of neurodegenerative diseases and some aggressive forms of cancer. However, Cryer was quick to vehemently deny the veracity of these studies.
Despite all its issues, Stabiline remains a very profitable venture for Cryer as the steadily increasing number of Cardamine addicts raises its demand and the company is more than ready to offer its premium services to the patients suffering from its side effects. This has earned the pharmaceutical giant a substantial amount of hostile attention from the Outcasts, as their product, especially if further refined, poses an existential threat to the Cardamine distribution network across Sirius.
