RK-67 Battlecruiser Avalanche Heavy Laser Turret

The RK-67 'Avalanche' is a battlecruiser turret platform aiming to provide long-range, sustained suppression against capital class vessels. Modelling its construction from current Cryogenic Antimatter mortar weapons systems, the avalance is designed to provide a more consistent and faster firing system than the traditional mortar at the sacrifice of damage and range. The weapon is much less stressful on the overall power-systems of a battlecruiser compared to the mortar, and thus can withstand sustained fire for longer. The weapon is laser-accurate, and gunners have no need to compensate for any sort of dispersion with this system. The brains behind the RK-67 see this system as 'the next step forward in Cryogenic weaponry.'
