Class 1 Turrets are Light Turrets for Fighters and Freighters. These turrets are commonly used on Light Fighters and some Heavy Fighters which do not have hard-points capable of supporting Heavy Fighter Turrets. They are typically based on the equivalent Class 7 Guns and Class 8 Guns from the fighter lineups.

In addition, there is a Class 1 Fighter Mining Turret that can be used with small Mining Ships.

All of the Light Fighter Turrets have the same rotational speed of 90 radians per second.
