PPCWS-1 Battlecruiser "Sunwreath" Turret

A lumbering and archaic particle cannon. While its origins are subject to immense controversy and dispute among weapons experts, the effectiveness of it is not. The potency of the overcharged beam it produces is capable of melting through several layers of capital-class armor. Even the pinnacle of engineering behind Liberty warship design is ill-suited to receive the punishment this cannon exemplifies. However, it is glaringly less potent against agile craft, weighed down by oversized heatsinks and coolant vents - a necessity given the volatility of the charge it produces. Rumors abound that this weapon was likely developed by criminals as an answer to House aggression. Or, that the weapon was designed by one of the Great Houses for use by criminals against a rival House. Regardless of potential origins, the Sunwreath is fielded by any organization with ships that can sustain its demanding profile and logistical hurdles.
