DSCore: Pitbull

The Pirate Train is the largest transport-class vessel available for the Sirius Pirates. Although offering an increased cargo bay, this ship has weaker defensive capabilities than the Pirate Transport. Using the Pirate Train on long and risky routes is considered inefficient; however, it comes in most handy on shorter routes between nearby unlawful bases. Ships of this type are also used for supplying pirate Capital Ship fleets with H-Fuel and other necessary goods.

Review (4.86) Legality As a part of the infamous "Pirate" Z-line, the legality of this ship is inconsistent throughout Sirius. Kingdom of Bretonia: Legal under Section 3 Subsection 3.10 - Ships Manufactured by Hostile Nations (confirm) Republic of Liberty: Illegal under Section 3, Subsection IV - Transport Ships (confirm) Federal Republic of Rheinland: Unregulated (confirm) Kusari Empire: Illegal under Section 5, Subsection 5 (confirm) Kingdom of Gallia: Illegal under Section 2, Subsection 2.3 - Trade and Entry Regulations (confirm) Legal when operated by the Independent Miners Guild under Section 2, Subsection 2.3 - Exceptions (confirm) Its legal status makes it used either almost exclusively either within Bretonia, by smugglers, or in the independent systems. It should be noted that even in space where its legal status is unregulated or even specifically permitted, harassment from local authorities is to be expected. Despite this, it is still the largest transport available to the Junkers ID with the Pilgrim in a close second. Outdated Review (4.85)

Review (4.85) The Pirate train is an interesting vessel to be sure. At first its appearance is disappointing compared to the simple brilliance of the Pirate Transport but if you look closer some of the rugged appearance has been maintained. Not being built directly by the Liberty Rogues widens its prospects to be bought by more than just Outcasts and Hackers. It’s for sure that this ship was designed solely for smuggling and the occasional legitimate trading. Its increase in cargo hold to 4300 has taken up the space of two of the nine turrets on the Pirate Transport. With reduced firepower and increased size, this ship was never meant to fight off anything more than your average rookies. It's a disappointment that you don't get the portable cargo pods that you get with the lawful trains of Sirius, and your instead left with three permanent orange drab pods. The maneuverability has also been greatly reduced, but even though I have not been able to myself, I have seen many pilots of this ship escape from even the most hopeless situations with their hulls intact; Which tells us that this ship makes an impressive and useful getaway car when being plunged into heavily monitored zones; such as Manhattan Orbit or New Berlin. But for some reason I get an annoying vibe from this ship, it just seems too informal for me. But it doesn’t exclude the fact that this is an extraordinary model.
