A Torpedo is self-propelled projectile weapon, similar to a Missile, but with a much larger payload. Torpedoes also use specialized hard-points, and can therefore only be equipped on ships that are designed to use them. Typically this limits their use to Bombers and large Fighters (some small fighters also allow them to be used).
Bomber Torpedoes have a much larger payload than Fighter Torpedoes, however they also consume more energy, are more expensive, and are less agile. All of the Torpedoes are heavier and slower than Missiles.
