| description = Tau-115 or 'Roussillon' is a recently occupied system by the [[Gallic]] liberalist group [[The Council]]. After suffering a crushing defeat in [[Languedoc]] to the [[Gallic Royal Navy]], they soon lost one of their most tactically advantagous positions in Gallic space; [[Planet Quillan]]. With the horde of King Charles XI navy between the remains of the council's southern fleet and their safe haven in [[Champagne]], they were forced to retreat to [[Montpellier Guard Station]] and without reinforcements were soon forced to retreat out of Gallic space to [[Orkney]]. The poorly defended station [[Reunion]] was soon to fall in line and [[The Council]]'s southern fleet was left exiled and wandering throughout the Tau-systems, attempting to rally the dispersed and lost to the remains of the capital fleet.
+
| description = Soon after settlement, [[Bretonia]] needed raw materials, and Leeds was quickly recognized as the most resource rich system under Bretonian control. Companies were formed and given royal charters-near carte blanche-to develop the system in any way they saw fit, while settlers were handed generous incentives to move to Leeds and serve as the workforce.

With [[Languedoc]] lost and the path to [[Gallia]] resealed, [[The Council]]'s southern fleet turned to their allies made during their occupation of the passage. The [[Independent Miners Guild]] was soon to step up and offer a place for [[The Council]] fleet to make birth at a recently charted planet they had found way to in recent years. The jump hole to the new system had only recently opened and offered a perfect location for the lost faction to recouperate and rethink a strategy to tackle the Gallic threat. The Council fleet flocked to the new world, naming it [[Planet Tolouse]] after a place long lost to their culture a thousand years ago.
+
The Leeds system is a crossroad system of Bretonia space, and is the industrial center of the Bretonian empire. Jump gate accesses can be found in this system connected to The [[Edinburgh]] system, [[Newcastle]] system, [[New London]] system and the [[Tau-31]] system. Several companies have already set up bases in this system, as well as the police and military authorities. Leeds is one of the focal points of the Bretonia/Kusari war, with [[Kusari]] forces controlling the Tau-31 jump gate and [[Stokes Mining Station]], and Bretonian forces controlling the rest of the system.

The crippled gallic fleet has since recovered from their losses, and Roussillon now stands as a fortress homeworld of the presumed lost southern fleet. [[The Council]] have learnt from mistakes made and now look to change the tactics of their approach. Adapting the template of their tactics in [[Champagne]] of concentrated control; they have taken their time to build numerous stations, form valuable alliances, deploy various militaristic measures and more. The hope of [[The Council]]'s southern fleet now is to improve local relations and gather as much support to punch through the royalist lines in [[Orkney]] and push their assualt back to the core worlds before they execute their plans for invasion.

: The planet that was later named Toulouse was discovered by an Independent Miners Guild exploration expedition in 814 A.S. The planet was codenamed T115-C1 and immediately attracted the attention of Guild officials. The planet had gravitation and temperature suitable for human colonization. The presence of poisonous gases in the atmosphere was a deterrent, but the problem could be fixed by introducing oxygen-producing plants and setting up atmospheric filters planetside.
+
: Perpetually swathed in its trademark smog storms, planet Leeds is a vast metropolis of manufacturing facilities, smelters, processing plants and environmentally sealed apartment blocks. Centuries of industrial abuse aided and abetted by morally corrupt corporations, lack of official oversight and severe overpopulation have lead to the planet being the symbol of everything the Green Front, and their unlawful counterparts the Gaians, fight against.

: 814 A.S. was also the year when the war between Kusari and Bretonia started. Having to invest all its resources to secure its holdings in the Tau systems, the Guild did not have enough manpower and ships to perform further research. The situation changed in 817 A.S. when the Council, a powerful and resourceful faction from Gallia, reached for IMG help in finding a new home for their Languedoc population. Having no way to reach their brethren in other Gallic systems, the Council Refugees had to establish their new home in some desolate region of Sirius to save the population from imminent repressions, and secure and rebuild its remaining forces.

: Toulouse, located in a system that the IMG labeled Tau-115 (renamed Roussillon by the Council), was the best choice to become the new home for that part of the Council that was isolated from their brethren. Council manpower and money, along with IMG knowledge and technology, combined to make the planet suitable for settlement in a matter of months. The location of the system, as well as the planet itself, was not revealed to any other groups by IMG, and the Council was secured from Gallic attacks at least for a year or two - time enough to build powerful defenses that the Royal Navy would not be able to penetrate without suffering severe losses. Apart from purely material gain (Council had to pay a very large amount for IMG services), IMG also retained the right to settle their own colonists on the planet at a later time. Since the relations between the two factions are friendly at this point, it is possible that Toulouse could become a prosperous independent world with population of both Gallic and Sirius origin.
+
: The Leeds system was quickly recognised as the most resource rich system under Bretonian control during the House's formative years. Many new companies, including Bretonia Mining and Manufacturing, were given near carte blanche to develop the system as they saw fit, and many colonists were given extremely generous incentives in order to move to Leeds and serve as the workforce. The planetary population has since climbed steadily, and the last census of the Leeds system in 816 A.S. listed the planet as having over 2.2 billion inhabitants, making it arguably the most heavily populated planet in the Sirius sector.

: Currently, Toulouse houses a population of 180,000, consisting of Council Refugees from Languedoc, a large amount of non-aligned Quillan Refugees who did not want to stay under Gallic Crown rule, as well as representatives of other unlawful factions of Gallia. IMG sustains a large terraforming and scientific presence on the planet, their work being supplied and financed by the Council. The atmosphere is not currently suitable for human breathing, and breathing masks are a necessity outdoors. However, the ongoing efforts to clear the atmosphere from HCN and COCl2 are making progress, and in some parts of the planet humans are now safe to stay outdoors without a mask for up to three hours.
+
: Leeds has suffered considerably from the continuous threat of hostile invasion. While a large portion of the surface is already barely inhabitable due to near-toxic levels of pollution in the atmosphere, the pressure to produce more for the Bretonian military forces, both planetside and in space, have driven the industry to new production heights. As the Kusari forces in Bretonia were forced to capitulate and the threat to the planet ended, a large strike among the workforce paralysed the planetside Bauxite mines. In response, BMM signed a supply contract for Bauxite with Daumann, effectively putting the unruly miners out of a job. While the longterm effects of this are as of yet unknown, more and more civilians are leaving Leeds for refugee camps in New London and Cambridge, while the Armed Forces continue to fortify the planet surface and orbit against the threat of a Gallic invasion.

: Salat Ice Crystal Field is a remote field of small ice asteroids located on the outskirts of Roussillon.
+
: Stokes Mining Station was run by Bretonia Mining and Manufacturing (BMM) until 817 A.S. It was the largest orbital facility in all of Bretonia and has operated continuously for centuries. Aside from BMM, representatives from Kusari shipping companies were also present, negotiating for the basic materials required to fuel their own industries.
 +

 +
: In 817 A.S., when Kusari fleets reached Stokes, the Bretonia Armed Forces chose to defend the station at all costs. The decision was rumored to be inspired by the BMM lobby within the New London government elite. From a strategic point of view, this was a grave mistake, since Stokes is a large and spread out installation hardly suitable for defensive purposes. Bretonian fleets around Stokes were swiftly scattered and had to retreat, and the station itself was captured by the Kusari Naval Forces with minimal casualties.
 +

 +
: Samura and Kishiro, despite their fierce competition, joined forces to operate the facility after it was seized from BMM. The mining operations were restored in a matter of weeks by Kusari workers brought from Kyushu and it was rumored that certain IMG members and former BMM employees collaborated with Kusari companies.
 +

 +
: Following the withdrawal of hostile Kusari forces from Leeds in early 818 A.S., BMM reclaimed the station and immediately began refitting it for Ship Hull Panel construction. Within weeks the station was in full production and supplying the Bretonian and Liberty militaries with vital capital ship components to repair and rearm their fleets for action against Gallia.

: When the Council, Brigand and Maquis forces first arrived in Roussillon, this asteroid field was the first obstacle they encountered. Frozen pockets of oxygen were quickly marked a navigational hazard. However, as the construction of several space stations and settlement of Toulouse began, that same field became a valuable local source of oxygen, which was scarce in the system due to the toxicity of Toulouse's atmosphere.
+
: Before 816 A.S., Glasgow Outpost was the headquarters for Bowex (Border World Exports), a very large, very old shipping conglomerate. Bowex, which received its royal charter from Prince Harry XXI himself in 310 A.S., claims a long and storied history in which the company was involved in most of the major events of Bretonian history. Prior to the war with Kusari, Bowex was the leading Bretonian shipping concern and handles most of the shipping in and around Leeds.
 +

 +
: When Kusari's onslaught against Bretonia reached the Leeds system, Bowex officials moved to New London and other stations located in safer areas of Bretonia. The outpost still formally belonged to the company, but in fact was operated by Bretonia Armed Forces. Glasgow was reinforced with hull plates and modern station weaponry, yet, the Armed Forces did not have time and resources to renew the dated and inefficient internal security systems. The Kusari Navy used this weakness in the battle for the jump gate, dispatching several small groups of commandos that were able to neutralize many of the station's defenders by a surprise attack, and gaining partial control of weapon systems. Yet, the remaining defenders of Glasgow did not surrender, and fighting on the station continued long after the surrounding space was cleared of Bretonia Armed Forces presence.
 +

 +
: After the war between Kusari and Bretonia was forced to a conclusion by the invasion of Gallia into the Tau systems, Bowex reclaimed the station, but its perilous position so close to the Tau-31 Jump Gate made the station a hazardous duty post for Bowex's employees.

Currently, since not much trade actually takes place along the war-torn Tau systems, it serves as a supply station and a defensive outpost with long-range energy weapons that can be used to secure the system from possible intruders. The freeport is located in the very edge of the Ariege Barrier Nebula, a massive cloud of water ice crystals and inert gases.

: Pamiers is one of the few battleships of the Council that survived the Languedoc campaign. It was captured in Burgundy back in 726 AGS while it was patrolling Nievre asteroid field. In a daring move, multiple fighters and bombers of the Council surrounded the ship and disabled most of its point defense systems. Marines boarded the ship, and with the help of certain loyal officers of the Navy, overtook the ship in less than an hour. The ship was later hidden in Nievre, out of reach of Gallic capital ships. It was transferred to Dauphine, where it stayed in far outer reaches of the system outside the range of Gallic radars, leading a group of several smaller capital ships. Later, the battlegroup of Pamiers participated in the Languedoc offensive. The battleship was one of the few that did not suffer serious damage in numerous battles with the Navy. The Council chose to attempt to move it through the mine field passage, despite the risks.
+
: The Battleship Derby is one of newer battleships recently constructed in Southampton Shipyard for the needs of Bretonia Armed Forces. Currently stationed near the Edinburgh jump gate to defend Leeds against a Gallic invasion out of that system.

: Being one of the three battleships that went all the way to Roussillon, Pamiers is the flagship of the Council defensive forces for the system. The battleship is currently stationed not far from the Tau-29 jump hole surrounded by an extensive mine field. This jump hole is considered to be the likely point from where Gallic forces could enter the system, and fighter patrols from Pamiers are constantly keeping watch on the jump hole from both Roussillon and Tau-29 sides.

: The larger part of Gallic Brigands who came from Languedoc with the Council fleet are staying on Toulouse, but some chose to secure their own outpost at the very beginning. Within a large ice asteroid field of Ariege, they found a convenient large asteroid that orbits Planet Prades. Docking ports and hallways were built inside the asteroid by Brigand workers and IMG engineers that were hired to help with base construction. Currently, the station is capable of housing more than two thousand people, and the number is expected to increase in the future.
+
: BATTLESHIP NAGASAKI

: The Council currently prohibits any ships that originate from Gallia to exit Roussillon in order to minimize security risks. The only exception is made for Council's own light fighter patrols sent on reconnaissance missions outside of the system. Therefore, the Brigands were not yet able to dispatch patrols into nearby systems to determine the trade routes they could feed on, returning to their old occupation - piracy. As soon as the restriction is lifted, Brigands are expected to start raiding nearby systems, seeking easy profit. While the Council is not looking forward to this development, since it may well mean spoiling the relations with their new allies, they have no choice but to tolerate the Brigands' presence in the system, for they provided invaluable help during the entire Languedoc operation, and form a sizeable number of Roussillon's newly arrived population.

: Dihydrogen monoxide (H2O) is odorless, tasteless, transparent, and absolutely essential to human life. Roughly 75% of the human body is composed of Water. Deprived of Water, most humans can only live three days. The process of dehydration is a painful one, as tissues shrivel and vessels shrink in a desperate bid by the dying body to preserve its remaining vital functions.
+
: The inevitable byproduct of many of the industrial processes used by the different colonies is Toxic Waste. While some companies specialize in waste removal or elimination, many companies still use the more basic but still effective method of simply dumping Toxic Waste into the nearest available stellar body.

: A typical human being consumes over 12,000 liters of Oxygen (O2) daily. Oxygen, usually mixed with a neutral gas such as nitrogen, is absorbed through the tissues of the lungs and then diffused into the bloodstream, where it is carried throughout the body. All humans require a constant supply of Oxygen or they will perish within minutes.
+
: Ore is a type of rock that contains minerals such as metals which can be extracted through mining and refined for use. The ores must be processed to extract the metals of interest from the waste rock and from the ore minerals. Many organizations prefer to receive unsmelted ores in order to keep the additional cost of their production and finish within the local economy, as opposed to paying markups to foreign laborers to do the work for them.

Soon after settlement, Bretonia needed raw materials, and Leeds was quickly recognized as the most resource rich system under Bretonian control. Companies were formed and given royal charters-near carte blanche-to develop the system in any way they saw fit, while settlers were handed generous incentives to move to Leeds and serve as the workforce.

The Leeds system is a crossroad system of Bretonia space, and is the industrial center of the Bretonian empire. Jump gate accesses can be found in this system connected to The Edinburgh system, Newcastle system, New London system and the Tau-31 system. Several companies have already set up bases in this system, as well as the police and military authorities. Leeds is one of the focal points of the Bretonia/Kusari war, with Kusari forces controlling the Tau-31 jump gate and Stokes Mining Station, and Bretonian forces controlling the rest of the system.

Planet Leeds

Planet Leeds
Perpetually swathed in its trademark smog storms, planet Leeds is a vast metropolis of manufacturing facilities, smelters, processing plants and environmentally sealed apartment blocks. Centuries of industrial abuse aided and abetted by morally corrupt corporations, lack of official oversight and severe overpopulation have lead to the planet being the symbol of everything the Green Front, and their unlawful counterparts the Gaians, fight against.
The Leeds system was quickly recognised as the most resource rich system under Bretonian control during the House's formative years.
Leeds has suffered considerably from the continuous threat of hostile invasion.

Planet Waterford
A beautiful but barren world of magnificent ice formations. Glasgow Outpost orbits the planet, headquarters for Bowex. While Bowex often collects natural ice sculptures from the surface for use as place settings for official banquets, Waterford otherwise lacks any useful resources.

Stokes Mining Station was run by Bretonia Mining and Manufacturing (BMM) until 817 A.S. It was the largest orbital facility in all of Bretonia and has operated continuously for centuries. Aside from BMM, representatives from Kusari shipping companies were also present, negotiating for the basic materials required to fuel their own industries.
In 817 A.S., when Kusari fleets reached Stokes, the Bretonia Armed Forces chose to defend the station at all costs.
Samura and Kishiro, despite their fierce competition, joined forces to operate the facility after it was seized from BMM. The mining operations were restored in a matter of weeks by Kusari workers brought from Kyushu and it was rumored that certain IMG members and former BMM employees collaborated with Kusari companies.
Following the withdrawal of hostile Kusari forces from Leeds in early 818 A.S., BMM reclaimed the station and immediately began refitting it for Ship Hull Panel construction. Within weeks the station was in full production and supplying the Bretonian and Liberty militaries with vital capital ship components to repair and rearm their fleets for action against Gallia.

Glasgow Outpost

Glasgow Outpost
Before 816 A.S., Glasgow Outpost was the headquarters for Bowex (Border World Exports), a very large, very old shipping conglomerate.
When Kusari's onslaught against Bretonia reached the Leeds system, Bowex officials moved to New London and other stations located in safer areas of Bretonia.
After the war between Kusari and Bretonia was forced to a conclusion by the invasion of Gallia into the Tau systems, Bowex reclaimed the station, but its perilous position so close to the Tau-31 Jump Gate made the station a hazardous duty post for Bowex's employees.

Toxic Waste
The inevitable byproduct of many of the industrial processes used by the different colonies is Toxic Waste. While some companies specialize in waste removal or elimination, many companies still use the more basic but still effective method of simply dumping Toxic Waste into the nearest available stellar body.

Niobium Ore
Ore is a type of rock that contains minerals such as metals which can be extracted through mining and refined for use. The ores must be processed to extract the metals of interest from the waste rock and from the ore minerals. Many organizations prefer to receive unsmelted ores in order to keep the additional cost of their production and finish within the local economy, as opposed to paying markups to foreign laborers to do the work for them.
