Listed below are the Commodities that are mine-able and the general locations of the mining areas. Also included is what ID/IFF combinations will provide bonus drops (with the proper ship and weapon) as well as the status of bonuses for each commodity. Italicized faction names indicate a weak bonus, italicized system names indicate fields with a low yield (less or no bonus). The values behind the factions are the multiplier for the specific ore type. For more details regarding mining see the Mining Guide.
The Independent Miner ID will work in combination with any IFF, but the bonuses are low. This ID will work with any generic mining ship for all ore types, and additionally, will work with the ALG and Junker ships for the purposes of scrap metal mining. Junker and ALG ships do NOT get a bonus for ore types.
Notes:
- You must shoot the ore rocks with mining turrets and an appropriate ship, ID and IFF combination in order to get a bonus to ore drops.
- Anything mining that does not meet the conditions to apply a bonus, gets the default *0.5 multiplier, in essence a 50% penalty. This does allow escorts and trade vessels to help in the mining effort, albeit with limited effectiveness.
