"Nullifier" Pulse Cannon
Conceived as a way to jumpstart ships that have lost propulsion as a result of power failure or heavy damage. It is evident from the weapons current employment that this originally intended purpose has been grossly ignored. What might have once served to restart critical ship systems, now enthusiastically projects overcharged pulse fields to cause cascading system failures. This philosophy is especially popular with pirates, who prefer to disable their prey rather than destroy them outright. In escalated conflict, the weapon can punch well above its own weight and strain even the likes of capital class shield generators. As such, all manner of homebrew variations of this cannon have come to occupy arms dealer stockpiles across the Sector.
